"The Mobile Consumer 2023" global survey reveals that there's a fine line between being personalized and being creepy in your email marketing. 41% of customers said that personalized recommendations based on past purchases are helpful. However, just 26% said that it was helpful to receive predictive suggestions based on everything the brand knows about them. To avoid appearing creepy, remember these points: ✅ Be upfront. Get consent from customers about using their data, and be clear about how customers' data will be used. ✅ Less is more. Using 1-2 pieces of personal information in an email is less likely to raise concern than using 4-5 pieces.

What to know the #1 mistake eCommerce stores make with their email marketing? No Personalization! Customers expect personalized experiences. Generic, one-size-fits-all emails simply don't cut it anymore. Here's why personalization is crucial and how to avoid this pitfall: Know Your Audience: Segment your email list based on customer behavior, purchase history, and preferences. Tailor your messages to address their specific needs and interests. Dynamic Content: Use dynamic content to customize emails for each recipient. This could be as simple as addressing them by name or as advanced as recommending products based on their browsing history. Behavioral Triggers: Set up automated emails triggered by specific actions, such as abandoned cart reminders, post-purchase follow-ups, and birthday offers. These timely emails show customers you care and understand their journey. A/B Testing: Continuously test different subject lines, email layouts, and call-to-actions to see what resonates best with your audience. Data-driven insights will help you refine your strategy for maximum impact. Value-Driven Content: Provide value in every email. Whether it's exclusive discounts, informative content, or personalized recommendations, make sure your emails are worth opening and engaging with. By avoiding the trap of generic emails and embracing personalization, you'll build stronger relationships with your customers and see a significant boost in engagement and conversions. How to Create an Engaging Free Shipping Email: A Comprehensive Guide Along with the new strategies applied to reach out to new audiences, email marketing remains one of the most efficient options to drive more conversions to your eCommerce site. In most cases, emails are used to promote new products, inform customers about sales, deals, and seasonal events, or remind them about their abandoned carts. However, one more type of email can help you make the most of your marketing strategy — free shipping emails. Compared to other options, free shipping emails are extremely popular among marketers, and you can hardly find an online store that is not using them today. The potential of free shipping shouldn’t be underestimated today, as it plays a vital role in the general impression of service quality, especially for first-time shoppers. A recent study by Shopify confirms that free shipping influences purchase behavior for 75% of global shoppers. Thanks to industry leaders, more and more people today expect to get fast, free, and on-time delivery of the products ordered online. Demystifying the Art of Abandoned Cart Emails “Sorry, I’m just looking around” is, probably, one of the worst phrases you can hear from a customer if you’re working in retail because it means a lack of buying intention. However, eCommerce has an equivalent of that, and that’s an abandoned shopping cart. You might be thinking, “Sure, it happens sometimes, but is it such a big deal?” Hold on to your seat. 70% of digital shopping carts were abandoned in 2021, and only 30% of customers actually ordered what they wanted. That’s an absolutely massive revenue loss for the sellers. Other sources suggest that the abandonment rate may be even higher, up to 84%. At least 15% of those carts can be recovered. How do you break the spell of abandoned carts and motivate your visitors to finish their purchase? Meet abandoned cart emails. They can help you reignite your customers’ interest and incentivize them to move forward with their order. Let’s find out what makes an effective abandoned cart recovery email (spoiler alert, you’ll need more than one). #OnlineMarketingStrategies #FunnelHacks #DigitalMarketingTips #BrunsonFunnelMagic #SEOandSalesFunnels #SocialMediaMarketingSecrets #LeadGenerationExpertise #ContentMarketingIdeas #ClickFunnelsCommunity #ConversionOptimizationHacks #AffiliateMarketingInsights #EmailMarketingStrategies #FunnelBuilderTips #DigitalAdsExpert #MarketingAutomationTools #Marketing https://lnkd.in/eNAaZFMs

Have you noticed more e-commerce websites asking for your email and phone number right upfront? You’re not alone. Talking with hundreds of marketing leaders over the last 12 months many are focused on this growing trend in the e-commerce space to prioritize email and text message acquisition—and for good reason. Here’s why this strategy is taking off: 1. Rising Costs of Paid Media: With the costs of digital ads on platforms like Google and Meta increasing by 20-30% over the past year, e-commerce brands are looking for more cost-effective ways to reach their audience. Enter email and SMS marketing. These channels offer a direct line to customers without the hefty price tag. A study by Campaign Monitor shows that email marketing delivers an average ROI of $42 for every $1 spent, making it a no-brainer for brands looking to maximize their marketing dollars. 2. Building Direct Relationships: Unlike social media, where algorithms can change and ads can get lost in the shuffle, email and SMS allow brands to connect directly with their customers. Research from HubSpot found that 78% of consumers say they’ve made a purchase as a result of an email campaign. And SMS? It boasts an impressive open rate of 98%, compared to just 20% for email. By collecting emails and phone numbers early, brands are building a direct, owned communication channel that cuts through the noise and drives engagement. 3. Personalization at Scale: Today’s consumers crave personalized experiences, and email and SMS are perfect for delivering just that. With the right data, brands can segment their audience and send targeted messages that resonate with individual preferences and behaviors. A report by Experian found that personalized emails generate 6 times higher transaction rates. Marketers and leadership teams are seeing this as a win-win: lower costs, higher engagement, and more personalized customer experiences.
