Throughout ZerOctober, we'll be raising awareness about the importance of working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, at home and in practice. Whether you're an individual, or a team, there are countless ways to get involved and make a difference for the animals we love! How Can You Pawticipate? From simple everyday changes to larger community initiatives, everyone can play a part in ZerOctober: -Personal Actions: Reduce energy consumption, minimise waste, and adopt sustainable habits. -Team Contributions: Implement eco-friendly practices, promote sustainable products, and engage people in sustainability efforts. -Community Engagement: Organise local events, workshops, and challenges to inspire collective action. My day 17 Challenge 😊 Volunteer for Sustainability initiatives I can recall vividly when I connected with SustyVibes, a sustainable group because it's activities resonate with my interests and values! #Volunteering for such initiatives can be incredibly rewarding and impactful. We engage with like minded people via social media and connect physically to organize meetings, workshops and other activities to promote sustainable living. For those who want to volunteer for sustainability initiatives, here are some few key things to do; 1. Share your personal experience and passion for sustainability with others. 2. Talk about the positive impact that volunteering can have on the #environment, the #community, and even #personalgrowth. 3. Highlight the various ways in which individuals can contribute, whether it's through organizing clean-up drives, tree planting activities, educational workshops, or promoting #sustainableliving practices. 4. Invite others to join you in volunteering for these initiatives. Emphasize the sense of fulfillment that comes from being part of something bigger than oneself and working towards a common goal of creating a more sustainable #future. Leading by example is a powerful way to inspire others. By being actively engaged in sustainability initiatives, we can motivate and encourage others to follow suit. In 2023, we launched enterprise-wide engagement initiatives for Earth Month (April) and Energy Awareness Month (October). Our Earth Month initiative, aimed at fostering environmental stewardship, included videos and social media engagements that offered tips to go green, polls, volunteering activities, and a spotlight series on employees and customers making a difference. These efforts to increase employee awareness of environmental issues and their roles in them resulted in the following: - 4,340 gallons of water conserved - 482 meatless or vegan meals consumed - 1,225 pieces of litter collected - 69 hours volunteered - 33,392 minutes spent outdoors All of our colleagues have a role to play in protecting the environment and ensuring the communities in which we live and work are thriving now and in the future. We thus aim to build a culture of sustainability for our precious planet. We also aim to meet the needs of our growing number of socially and environmentally conscious clients, offering them a team that speaks their language and helps achieve their goals — such as greenhouse gas emission reduction and other sustainability initiatives. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲’𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼: ✅ 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻-𝗨𝗽 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 to protect and beautify our local environments. ✅ 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 through a fun app that tracks water usage while raising consciousness about conservation. ✅ 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 — tracking our carbon footprint and raising awareness on how to reduce emissions collectively. ✅ 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 supporting NGOs focused on education ReDI School of Digital Integration, clean water access Viva con Agua, marine ecosystem restoration Arrels Marines, and permaculture projects for resilient and low-impact human communities Permacultura Mediterránea. ✅ 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗚𝗢𝘀 — we helped permaculture NGO improve the online training area of their website, enabling them to educate and empower more people. ✅ 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 — our colleagues have donated their work hours to support companies specializing in environmental improvements, contributing their skills for a greener future. ✅ 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 to amplify impact — because every small action counts! This year, we’re taking it a step further by promoting marine preservation at our annual company event. 🌊 🐠 Together, we’re raising awareness about the critical importance of protecting our oceans and their ecosystems. We're thrilled to be planting 1,000 trees in partnership with Treeapp, to celebrate 1,000 corporate leaders subscribing to our Vantage research platform in 2024!🌳 This initiative reflects our commitment to sustainability and is a small contribution to a climate-positive future. 🌟 The trees will be planted as part of Treeapp's global reforestation projects, focusing on the regions that will benefit most from the programme. Happy Earth Day! 🌍 Earth Day isn't just a date on the calendar, but a reminder of our commitment to the Earth and a reminder of our responsibility to nurture and protect the environment. At Greenpop it's a day we reflect on the power of active citizenship, and renew our dedication to a greener future 💚 🌍 Simple Earth-conscious checklist 🌍 ⤵️: ♻️ Reduce, reuse, recycle: this is a simple, but nonetheless impactful one! 💡Save energy: Turn off lights and electronics when you're not using them and make use of energy-efficient alternatives,like LED light bulbs. 💧 Fix leaky taps! Dripping taps and running toilet cisterns can waste as much as 60 litres of water per day. 💚 Opt for eco-friendly products: Your consumer choices matter, take a moment to read labels, shop around, and if you can, support brands that are eco-friendly. 🥬 Purchase seasonal and local produce when you can from local farmers and small sustainable grocers. Buying local goes a long way! Every action counts - today, tomorrow and every day!
