Yesterday I was asked a question I hadn't thought about in awhile: "What is it that you want to do long-term?" Thanks to the power (invasiveness?) of Zoom, I was able to find the transcript of my answer: "I think if you were to ask me two years ago, it would be different than now. When I was working as a full-time designer, I'd say my 10 year goal was to be some kind of Creative Director. I want to be overseeing a team and I could definitely see myself going that route, but I moved into being an Account Executive in a sales role -- it's so much networking and customer support and just getting to talk to people and do THIS for living. And it's been so fulfilling. I was just kind of missing the people element. I know that I always want to work in sports in some capacity, and working at Slate has allowed me to do that but also meet more people than I ever did actually working for a team... the only reason I felt comfortable going into a sales role was that now I get to help my former counterparts onboard a tool that I loved so much and used everyday. So yeah, it definitely is a bucket filler working at a company like this and being fully remote, and really getting to prioritize my time outside of work." Okay, so I cut out most of the filler words (I apparently don't talk as concisely as I thought I did), but y'all get the point. I'll say it loud enough for the people in the back: DO WHAT YOU LOVE AND LOVE WHAT YOU DO. FILL THAT BUCKET. That's it. That's the tweet.

Three persons in One... ...I thought hard on what to write about today. Since I've made Monday an introduction day for me, what do I introduce to you today? As a lady, I'm a different personality on the different social media platforms I operate on and this is intriguing. Let's talk about them. 1. On YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, I am a growing fashion model. I create, edit and post model walk and fashion related videos for my audience. 2. On Snap Inc. and Twitter, I am a bench warmer. Planning to leverage them into my modeling career though, but that's by the way. 3. Finally, LinkedIn: Here on LinkedIn, I'm featuring as a virtual administrative and personal assistant. My job as a virtual assistant include; Project and task management on CRM softwares and vice versa. Social Media Management; regular content creation and post publishing, article writing, creation of social media post calendar, active engagement. Travel management, etc. Need someone to get these done for you, send a direct message. Wahdoh❣

Hands-down, the biggest milestone for agency and pro services founders is when they make this move... They hire a head of client services! Unfortunately, most founders default to hiring someone that is "really good at the client work." This stems from the founder's inability to let go of their impact on client work—they aim to replace themselves with someone who is just as good at client work as they are. This is a recipe for failure. The saying goes, "When one door closes, another one opens." While that may be true, and I love a promising new opportunity, I am a closed-door collector. 🚪 Sometimes, doors close, but it's just for a little while. I look at my work this way, and it always feels much better knowing there are always ways to continue supporting clients. Even if I do not work with them on one project, there may be an opportunity to work with them on the next one. Meet people where they are, provide them value and help even when they haven't hired you yet, and be receptive when they need you, and the doors will keep opening. ✨ #marketing #marketingagency

I have a passion project I've wanted to work on for a reallllyyyy long time, but haven't had the courage to just get started... ...wanna know what it is? I want to build a community for marketers in the Nashville area (or beyond depending on interest!) who work behind-the-scenes at creator-led businesses. Thinking... - Meet up for coffee + breakfast 1x / month - Slack group where we can compare notes on what's working + what's not in the industry - Opportunity to "mastermind" + learn from each other based on our areas of expertise Truly not trying to sell you something, I just really want to build a community of marketers I can learn with / from! If this is you, submit your interest at this typeform. If there is enough interest + if you're a fit, I'll reach out to put something together! copygirl.co/community PS – When I say "marketers" I mean it broadly! Think: Director of Marketing, Marketing Manager, Marketing PM, Graphic Designer, Copywriter, Social Media Manager, etc.

Why you should hire me 📽️ They say when job seeking, you should play to your strengths. My strengths are my creativity and storytelling abilities. So, what better way to showcase that than with an entertaining video? Interviewing was never my strong suit. But I can display my skill set rather than just telling you about it. B2B needs creative product marketers more than ever. Increased competition, noise, and sameness all demand new approaches. You don't want another cookie-cutter marketer. You need an actual storyteller who can relay your product's benefits in an informative and entertaining way. I can deliver that, and it's why you should hire me. Let's chat. Seeking: Sr. Product Marketing Manager or Director of Product Marketing Role.

Coming tomorrow at 11:30 AM Eastern/8:30 AM Pacific, the greatest "Why Hire Me' video of all time. A few weeks ago, I posted about rocking the green banner. I didn't want to stop at just a written post. So an amazing and ridiculous video seemed like the next best step. The video will tell my story and why I should be your next product marketing hire, with various shenanigans along the way. If you are asking yourself.... 1️⃣ Will the video have jokes? ➖ Absolutely 2️⃣ Will there be various zany characters with different facial hair styles? ➖ Of course 3️⃣ Will there be magic tricks ➖ Ummmm...I'll try? 4️⃣ Will there be car chases and explosions? ➖ No, I don't have the budget for that. So stay tuned and give the video a like or comment tomorrow. Or better yet, just hire me as your next Sr. Product Marketing Manager.
