How do you support small businesses you believe in? Recently, we went out for a fantastic dinner at Alexander's Prime in Ormond Beach. The food and service were top-notch.  My husband said, "I hope they stay in business," which made me think—what could I do to help? I decided to take photos of our meal and share them in our community Facebook group as a way of word-of-mouth marketing.  Word of mouth is one of the best ways to grow a business because we trust each other's opinions on our experiences—especially when we have a relationship with those who share.  I have a handful of friends in Ormond Beach because we've lived here less than a year, but the principle is the same: if you love a small business or are happy with their product or service, tell someone.  Your endorsement may help them get one more customer, and if everyone did that - they could double their business through word of mouth.  Alexander's was GREAT.  It's clean, the service is great, and the food is outstanding. The price and value are well aligned; after eating there twice now, we will go back again.  If you believe in a small business, whether it's a company with a team or a solopreneur, be generous.
