💡 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝘀. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽: 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 💡 When tackling complex challenges, we often default to meetings. But is a traditional meeting always the best approach? In my experience, there’s a massive difference between meetings and workshops—especially when it comes to creating solutions that drive real change. Here’s how I see it: • 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 are great for aligning on priorities, sharing updates, or making decisions. They’re usually structured around a set (timed) agenda, with each person contributing briefly. • 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝘀, on the other hand, are purpose-built for creating solutions. A well-run workshop does more than just encourage discussion—it actively invites new ideas, perspectives, and hands-on collaboration. What makes workshops so effective for problem-solving? 𝗔𝘁 𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺, they provide the space for ideas to emerge. Even better, a structured workshop is designed to facilitate creative thinking, using methods and techniques that guide stakeholders through exercises and discussions that inspire active participation. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁? Stakeholders become co-creators in the solution, leading to better alignment, buy-in, and often, more innovative outcomes. So, next time you’re faced with a complex problem, ask yourself: should I tackle this in a meeting or a workshop? It could be the difference between just discussing issues and actually solving them. What is your experience of using workshops to generate solutions? #ProblemSolving #WorkshopDesign #Innovation #CreativeThinking #StakeholderEngagement #Leadership

Healthy communication is the cornerstone of successful teams. Mastering the art of giving and receiving feedback is essential for nurturing a culture of continuous growth. By emphasizing clear, constructive communication, we can turn feedback into a powerful tool for mutual development. Creating an environment of open communication, where feedback is viewed as an opportunity for learning and progress, enables teams to unleash their collective potential. This shift transforms meetings from mere exchanges to platforms for innovation and triumph. Executing the feedback dance with finesse strengthens relationships, builds trust, and sparks innovation by embracing diverse perspectives. This approach leads to more effective problem-solving and the achievement of shared objectives. #Communication #Feedback #Teamwork #Innovation #Development #growthmindset #linkedinlearning #RaiseLearning

🎶 Read the Room & Manage Energy Like a Pro 🎶 Let me tell you something I’ve learned from my time as a musician on stage—being able to feel and adapt to an audience is a powerful skill, not only as a performer but also as a facilitator. ✨Walking into a room and sensing the energy is crucial. 𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘥? 𝘍𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥? 𝘖𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘮 𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺? Sometimes, they might need more time for an activity, and it’s up to you to pick up on that and adapt the session. Reading the room and adapting in real-time will make you a 𝐭𝐨𝐩-𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫. The truth is, no matter how well you prepare, unexpected things happen. Being able to shift in the right direction is key. 𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥—𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘪𝘷𝘰𝘵. 𝘐𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥? 𝘖𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘭𝘰𝘸, 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬? This is especially important after a high-focus activity, or after lunch where I love to include energizers to refresh everyone’s minds. In my last workshop, I 🍭During my last workshop, I asked questions about what had happened before lunch and I threw a little bag of candies at each person who answered. It worked really well to gre-engage and energize the crowd What’s your go-to technique to keep the energy balanced in the room? *********************** 🔔 Click the bell on my profile for more facilitation tips #Facilitation #EnergyManagement #WorkshopTools #Leadership #TeamDevelopment #WorkshopDesign

1:1 Meetings 🚀 I’ve found that the toughest part of running 1:1 meetings is preparation. More often than not, I’m juggling too many tasks to plan ahead, which makes these meetings feel spontaneous. Spontaneity can be great for quick updates or simply connecting, but it’s not ideal for deeper conversations that build trust and clarity. Still, I believe 1:1s are incredibly important: I get to know my team members better, and they learn more about me. This mutual understanding fosters trust, which in turn helps me create an environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing both wins and concerns. When people open up, I can address issues at their roots and improve our overall culture. One approach that’s really helped me is drawing on my coaching background—focusing on listening more than talking. It’s definitely a work in progress; sometimes I still find myself speaking too much, especially in a new workplace where there’s a lot of uncertainty. But the goal is to cultivate a space where the team leads the conversation, bringing their own topics and ideas, so I can be an active listener and support them with genuine feedback. What has also been useful is the “Effective 1:1 Meetings” tool from CaseHub 🗂️, which offers a clear framework for structuring these sessions. By aligning on agendas and using the recommended worksheets, I don’t miss anything important—plus, it encourages my team to contribute their own thoughts ahead of time. When you combine solid preparation with a safe, welcoming atmosphere, 1:1s become a powerful way to foster trust and build a stronger organization overall. #CaseHub #EffectiveMeetings #OneOnOne #TeamTrust #Coaching #Leadership #PersonalGrowth ✅ 🤗

‼️Workshops are all about high-energy activities, loud games and little outcome.😰 It's a common perception, but let’s shift that view. 😉 Workshops can also be quiet, powerful, and incredibly effective📈, combining serious outcomes with fun. “How is that?!” 🧐– You might ask. Simple. True engagement doesn’t have to be LOUD 🔊 It's about creating a space where every team member, introvert 💭or extrovert, feels empowered to contribute in their own unique way. “Ok, so how do we get there?”⬇️ • Start by clearly defining the meeting's goals 🎯so everyone understands why they are there and what their role is. • Encourage team members to connect from the start. 🔄 This builds a foundation of trust, making it easier for everyone to open up and share their thoughts. • Set up the room to encourage active discussion 🗣️rather than passive listening. This setup should invite conversation and collaboration. • Before diving into group discussions, give everyone some time to ✍️reflect on their own. This helps gather more thoughtful contributions. 🤩The best thing is - you don’t need to be a master facilitator to implement these strategies. Simply focus on being attentive👀 to your participants' needs, particularly those who are more reserved. Have you implemented any QUITE 🤫engagement strategies in your workshops or meetings? Let me know what worked for you in the comments below. 👇 #TeamLeadership #EffectiveMeetings #QuietEngagement

Let's talk about the difference between reacting and responding in event coordination. While the terms may seem interchangeable, understanding their nuances can significantly impact the success of any event. Reacting involves acting instinctively and impulsively, while responding is a more deliberate process that involves taking a moment to process information, consider various outcomes, and then choose an appropriate action. Reacting might involve making hasty decisions without fully considering the consequences, while responding fosters effective communication, avoids misunderstandings, and demonstrates respect for others' perspectives. Opting for responding over reacting can transform the dynamics of your team, clients, and the overall success of your events. So why choose responding over reacting? Responding allows for thoughtful dialogue, leading to better outcomes, promotes harmony, and reduces the chances of saying something in the heat of the moment. To cultivate the habit of responding, practice mindfulness to manage immediate emotional reactions, develop emotional intelligence to choose responses consciously, and implement active listening and empathetic communication. Always remember, in event coordination, every decision matters. #eventcoordination #effectivecommunication #protocol #leadership

How Can You Better Engage Your Team with a Workshop Approach? We’ve all been in meetings where engagement feels like a distant dream. People nod politely, but the energy? Flat. The outcomes? Unclear. Now, imagine turning that same meeting into a workshop. Here's why it works: 1️⃣ Workshops prioritize participation. Unlike traditional meetings, workshops are designed to get everyone involved. Whether it's through brainstorming, breakout sessions, or creative activities, people feel heard and valued. 2️⃣ Workshops foster collaboration, not competition. They’re structured to align your team around shared goals, creating a sense of we’re in this together instead of who’s got the best idea. 3️⃣ Workshops turn ideas into action. When done right, a workshop doesn’t just produce great ideas—it creates clarity on what happens next. Participants leave with ownership, not confusion. 💡 Pro Tip: Start small. You don’t need a big budget or a fancy venue. Even a 30-minute “mini-workshop” on solving a team challenge can energize your group and spark new ideas. If you have a little more time (1-2 hours), check out the Lightning Decision Jam (LDJ) Workshop by AJ&Smart (Link in the comments). This is a great approach for quickly identifying issues to work on, ideating solutions, evaluating their feasibility, and planning future actions. By embracing a workshop approach, you can shift from passive participation to active engagement—and that’s where the magic happens. What’s one way you’ve engaged your team in a workshop-style format? Let’s learn from each other—drop your thoughts in the comments! 👇 #WorkshopDesign #TeamEngagement #Leadership #Collaboration #FacilitationTips #FacilitatorPro
