According to the OECD-OCDE's last edition of “The Space Economy in Figures”, advancements in space technologies have significantly contributed to addressing global challenges, operating more efficiently and on a larger scale than ever before. As an example, in OECD countries, space-based systems already support more than half of the most critical infrastructures and services, including transportation, energy, food supply, and law enforcement. As societal challenges become more complex and pressing, concerns arise regarding the space sector's ability to meet its commitments. Key priorities include ensuring the continuity and quality of government civilian missions, promoting fair competition for new market entrants, and safeguarding the orbital environment for future generations.
