I have attended conferences and events where 5,000+ people have been in the room. There is always an exchange of information from the experience with what I choose to believe, well intentioned people. Yet..... Moving needles in the anti-trafficking field isn't glamours. It won't make you rich, at least not the monetary kind, and it isn't for the faint of heart. Mine breaks on the daily. I am constantly asked "how can I help" and my answers are rooted in tangible ways. We don't simply house survivors at Phoenix Starfish Place, we help heal and, that requires access to so much more than four walls. It's not about the number of people in a room.
