NUST Professional Development Centre (NUST PDC) and Petroleum Institute of Pakistan (PIP) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote collaboration in shared areas of interest. The partnership focuses on the exchange of scientific, academic, technical, and engineering knowledge, including intellectual property rights, to support projects, research, and development initiatives. The agreement also seeks to explore opportunities for cooperation and growth across relevant fields and jointly organize training activities such as seminars, conferences, and symposiums to enhance professional development and capacity building for both institutions. We look forward to a collaborative partnership driving innovation, growth, and shared success! #NUSTPDC

With the recent announcement of the new British Tunnelling Society Young Members' (BTSYM) committee, we are delighted that Avantika Raj and Solomon Ekperuoh both have been named as chairs for sub groups. Avantika will lead the Social Media and Communications, whilst Solomon is responsible for the Youth Outreach and Education - we wish them well in their roles! The aim of the BTSYM is to provide the same services as the British Tunnelling Society (lectures, workshops, site visits, socials) but with a special focus on young engineers. The BTSYM tailors lectures and workshops to allow engineers to gain a broader understanding of the industry outside of their immediate work experiences, and also provides a platform for young engineers to present their work and learning either through evening lectures or via the BTSYM conference. The socials are a platform for young engineers from different companies to network and also catch up with friends. This year the BTSYM will aim to improve its connections with peer societies (such as the ITAym, BGA-ECG, IOM3) and also extend geographically in the Midlands and North to create a wider active community. The organisation is also working on engaging further with universities through its university representatives to promote a career in tunnelling. #tunnelling #btsym #engineeringcareers #innovation

It has Always been a story of love between I and Slb. around 9 years, being at university, among top students, professor was explaining how this company works at the point of dreaming to enter the company. Passionate for Field/ Rig jobs, I knew slb could help me to have this experience. Passionate for learning New technologies, New systems, was even surnamed by one of my teachers by EASY LEARNER, I knew that slb could give me intensive trainings. Entering first in work environment, I began assisting experienced consultants in a slb top leading domain( well logging data interpretation, geophysics) knowing that wireline acquisition was the first slb business line after its creation. With the same spirit of slb, I even succedeed in how to use best geosciences worldwide software first by myself ( Petrel, Techlog) through researches. And now in MI Swaco, a slb business line which has best drilling fluids, solids controls services worldwide. After, all these, experiences, I will Say that, If you want to work for schlumberger/ slb, you must have it your spirit, believe in God, work hard, don't limit yourself, don't stop even if you fail. I was slb, I'm slb, I will be slb #we are slb
