Now, I’m not complaining—really, I’m not—but I'm reaaaaally glad I only found out about Meet the Legends a couple of weeks ago when Cian Brittle wrote about it. If I’d been waiting nearly a year for an episode only to get 10 minutes, I might've had a mild stroke. Honestly, there's a lot of gratefulness to be practiced here. It's like a Drive to Survive interview-style stripped of all the drama. But, let's give credit, where credit is due, everyone complained that DTS brought the "wrong" fans, that it was over-dramatised and God knows what else - well the FIA listened and delivered by giving us the motorsports documentary version of unseasoned chicken. Were the 10 short minutes enjoyable? Absolutely. But did I learn anything new? Absolutely, not. The mechanics and the few engineers mostly talked about the fans, the essence of Ferrari, and the thrill of winning Le Mans back-to-back. Ah yes, I forgot to mention, each episode (or snippet, honestly) spotlights a team, in this exact order: Ep1: The Unwavering Devotion of The Tifosi – Ferrari Ep2: No Challenge Is Too Great – Alpine Ep3: Racing with Allure – Peugeot Ep4: The American Way of Racing – Cadillac Ep5: Motorsport Legacy Led by Excellence – Porsche Ep6: A Unique Racing Story – Lamborghini Ep7: The Art of Speed – BMW M Ep8: The Relentless Quest to Invent the Future – Toyota Saying it was underwhelming is in itself an understatement.
