🏗️ 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 🌎 At CCL, we are proud to have contributed to the construction of Arise's cutting-edge wind farm in #Bräcke #Sweden, utilising rock-anchored foundations for all 15 windmills. The good quality of the bedrock provided the perfect opportunity to stabilise the windmills by anchoring them directly into the rock, ensuring durability and reduced environmental impact. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: 🔹 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗔𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻:The rock-anchored foundations allow for a more compact design compared to gravity-based systems, significantly reducing CO2 emissions from concrete and reinforcement. 🔹 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀:This approach not only minimises on-site excavation but also shortens lead times, accelerating production while keeping environmental impact in check. 🔹 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: CCL supplied 9 tonnes of post-tensioning (PT) strand per foundation, including our advanced XM Rock Anchors. We handled the full scope of services—from the design of rock anchors to drilling and installation, grouting, testing, and tensioning. 🔹 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀: By maximising stability with 20 XM 70 L15 anchors per foundation, we provided a cost-effective, robust solution to meet the wind-load challenges of these modern windmills, which stand at an impressive 240m height.
