We’re on the lookout for a dynamic, resourceful, and team-oriented individual to drive engagement in conservation and research projects at the CCMAR Science Communication Unit. As part of our collaborative team, you’ll help us translate complex research findings and activities into accessible, impactful messages for the public, media, and stakeholders. Requirements: • Proven experience and training in communication, with proficiency in content production, science communication, and audience engagement. • Strong organizational and project management skills; experience in project management is a definite advantage. • A fervent passion for marine science and environmental conservation; experience in marine conservation or training in marine sciences is an advantage. • Fluency in both Portuguese and English is essential. • A team player who excels in a collaborative environment and is committed to achieving shared goals. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and develop communication materials (e.g., flyers, brochures, posters, exhibit materials) that convey the essence of our research projects effectively. • Liaise with researchers and project partners to implement joint communication and stakeholder engagement activities. • Organize outreach events and activities for diverse audiences (school communities, stakeholders) in the Algarve region. • Monitor, evaluate, and report on project communication activities, ensuring the timely delivery of milestones. • Support institutional communication activities led by the CCMAR Science Communication Unit.
