𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭-𝟐 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 : 𝐂𝐨-𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 From October 30 to November 12, 2024 – CDHi- Center for Digital Health and Implementation Science at the University of Gondar , in partnership with ThinkPlace’s Ethiopia Ethiopia Data Use Partnership (DUP) Stream-2 project, conducted a facility-level co-design session at Gondar, St. Gebriel and Maraki health centers. This session focused on building upon lessons learned from the first sprint of prototype testing. The primary goal was to build lessons and refine prototypes for the Test Sprint 2 by engaging health facility staff directly in the process. The session included facility observation, interviews, active discussions with service providers and facility leaders, reflections on the outcomes of Test Sprint 1. Insights and evidence were generated and synthesized, ensuring an informed co-design and refinement of prototypes for Sprint 2 implementation. At the conclusion, at each health centers prototypes were optimized for the next testing phase, with staff demonstrating their commitment by signing a “commitment board” one of the behavioral prototypes selected. This enthusiastic participation underscored the team’s readiness and motivation to implement the prototypes in the coming phase.

🎃 ICYMI - Our Team has organized another great event highlighting exciting research using observation health data. Join us on October 30th in an informal on-line setting to learn about how a diverse group of experts, led by Cindy Cai, researched the Risk of Kidney Failure among Patients with Blinding Diseases Who Receive Ranibizumab, Aflibercept, and Bevacizumab. Imagine asking a similar clinical question and being able to run stats on millions of cases, from 12 databases, in about 9 weeks!!! If you want a homework assignment ahead of the seminar read the paper: DOI: 10.1016/j.oret.2024.03.014 📚
If you want to know more about NEI’s Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) program, join our upcoming webinar on “Harnessing Healthcare Databases for Improved Outcomes” on October 30th from 12:00-1:00 PM ET. Dr. Michelle Hribar and Dr. Cindy Cai will present their research conducted using the ODSHI network and lead a discussion on future research opportunities it offers for the vision health community. Excited to share that the adapted systematic review on the Implementation of Digital health Interventions in LMICs, co-authored with the exceptional Obehi Aimiosior, MD, MPH has now been published by the F1000 team Health Open Research Journal🥳. When I released the follow up book in December, alot of people reached out asking for the main work. I am happy to let you know it can now be accessed through this link below and insighhtful supplementary data are open source on Figshare. https://lnkd.in/evnExpRP So if you know anyone working on a Digital Health solution in the LMICs space, please ensure this paper gets to them! It takes more than a tool to navigate system challenges and leveraging Implementation science strategies in a context sensitive manner makes a huge difference. This paper is a highly insightful piece into existing practices and strategies that can help in navigating these complexities. #Research #Journalpublication #digitalhealth #LMICs #digitalhealthintervention #implementing #implementation #implementationsience

How to build an infodemic insights report in six steps Happy to see this publication now available in English, Spanish and French. It was freat working with colleagues in WHO and the Infdemic Community to complete this work. This manual provides an overview of the steps required to develop an infodemic insights report that can be used during an emergency response or for routine health programming where so-called low-level infodemics may be more common. The steps are: 1. Choose the question that infodemic management insights could help to answer 2. Identify and select the data sources and develop an analysis plan for each data source 3. Conduct an integrated analysis across those data sources 4. Develop strategies and recommendations 5. Develop an infodemic insights report 6. Disseminate the infodemic insights report and track the actions taken. This manual is written for people with exposure to digital analytics, digital health, communications, behavioural science, health information analysis, health promotion, emergency response and related areas in the context of public health. https://lnkd.in/e6Cr4GBh

The #ISNTDConnect series is back! Join here: https://lnkd.in/dm5n5et. It's a new academic year at ISNTD and we are looking forward to the year ahead dedicated to equity in global health, and translating advocacy into ACTION across neglected and tropical diseases. I am delighted to start off this important year with a closer look at one of the biggest challenges in global health: how to share and collaborate on data equitably. We're thrilled to welcome Shanti Rochester, Data Governance Officer at the Infectious Diseases Data Observatory (IDDO), who will talk to us about the data governance structures needed to enable data reuse. Data reuse helps ensure that the often scarce data available for many infectious and tropical diseases is used to its fullest, but it needs governance structures that support equity and collaboration. Shanti will be talking about the model developed and used by IDDO that balances various considerations for successful data governance. Please do join us for this important discussion on Tuesday 17th September at 13:00-14:00 UTC, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn more on how Shanti's work and further programs and resources at IDDO can support and inform your own research. Great work. Digital health tools if properly structured and deployed to meet the socio-cultural needs of the target population have a potential to accelerate progress in universal health coverage. This work clearly highlights the situation in LMICS. Well-done

In the International Conference on Future Health-care and Economic Development, I had the opportunity to share the #ClinicalEngineering perspectives towards the digital health world. It was very interesting to hear the diverse approaches to the topic. Very illustrative to contrast the visions from a practical and even a philosophical points of view. #IFMBE #CED #IAmAClinicalEngineer #Tainan
