I feel flattered to have initiated and co-author the pier reviewed paper about microplastics in the Ocean. Very few people realize how bad these plastics in all their form are. Very few realize that we will need decades to mitigate the damage that has already happening. Loss of photosynthesis in our oceans increase in atmospheric CO2 due to the fact that oceans stop being the co2 sinks. It is a fact if we want to lower the CO2 in the atmosphere we must stop filling the ocean with plastics from the rivers of Asia. A Look Back on "LTG Rail Forward" It's already been a week since our annual leadership event, "LTG Rail Forward," which focused on our most valuable partners: our customers. With this customer-centric approach, we explored various perspectives on efficiency, customer focus, and leadership. One particularly interesting discussion, in which I participated, centered around how our organizations adapt to change and how leaders navigate this process. From "When Will It End?" to Embracing Change Five years ago, when I joined LTG Cargo (it feels like a lifetime ago!) I was looking to join an organization where I can initiate change, organization which develops, where I can learn new things. But when I met teams here - there were frequent complaints about constant change, with the question lingering: "When will it all stop, and can we finally get back to normal?" Then came the COVID-19 pandemic, followed by the war in Ukraine, which significantly impacted our company's cargo flow. Additionally, implementing sanctions added another layer of complexity. Interestingly, the question of "getting back to normal" seems to have vanished. A Shift in Perspective So, what has changed? Did we simply accept that change is inevitable, or have we learned to thrive in a dynamic environment? I believe it's a combination of both. We've come to understand that change is a constant force, and we've also developed the ability to adapt and move forward in the face of these challenges. #change #customerfocus #LTGCargo P.S.
