I am deeply honored & humbly to receive the 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗮𝘂𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱. I sincerely thank Indian Geotechnical Society for this recognition. I dedicate this award to all my teachers, mentors, and gurus, especially the late Dr. V.V.S. Rao, whose guidance since 1971, after my IIT Delhi days, was instrumental in guiding me into geotechnical practice as a profession. My efforts have always been to bridge the gap between research and practice with a higher reliability factor for the betterment of society. This recognition is an encouragement to continue pushing boundaries, advancing techniques, and applying international standards for more reliable data, fostering stronger synergy for a sustainable society. The ground is like a human body—no two sites or humans are the same, and both require reliable and correct parameters for any treatment. Advanced in-situ testing is the KEY to sustainable geotechnical engineering. This award reflects the encouragement and support I’ve received from my mentors, colleagues, gurus, associates, the Cengrs team, and most importantly, my family—my wife and children. Thank you all for your unwavering encouragement and support throughout this journey.
