With gratitude for her significant contribution, Centennial Park announces that Chief Executive Officer, Janet Miller, has decided to leave Centennial Park on December 24th this year, after nine years in the role. Janet believes that now is the right time for a new Chief Executive Officer to set the course for the next chapter in the Park’s history. "Janet leaves the Park in a strong position. The Board is thrilled with her many achievements that have changed the way in which our community perceives Centennial Park including the creation of a unique sculptural walk and the unveiling of the truly iconic hands sculpture at the entrance; the construction of our Café and Function spaces, a first for a South Australian cemetery, and the recent development of the five-year environmental sustainability plan. Though Janet has delivered many tangible milestones throughout her time at Centennial Park perhaps her greatest success has been building an extraordinary team culture focused on sustaining the Park as a community asset for future generations to enjoy” said Amanda Heyworth, Board Chair of Centennial Park. Janet shared, “I am so thankful to have been part of such a professional but caring and compassionate team as the one at Centennial Park; a team united by a common purpose – to create a place for the living; a vibrant community hub. A place where life is cherished, commemorated, contemplated, and celebrated. This collaborative culture has contributed immeasurably to the development and successful implementation of strategies to ensure long-term financial sustainability and enabled us to provide the best possible experience for all who come to Centennial Park.” Centennial Park looks forward to announcing the appointment of an Acting Chief Executive Officer while a thorough recruitment process is undertaken. #leadership #CentennialParkCemetery #ceo

Experienced Non Executive Director
2moThanks for being a great CEO. You always led by example, cared for your staff and the clientele of Centennial Park and achieved amazing results as detailed in the announcement above. You have been a visionary, thorough, caring, and totally reliable CEO for the Park and you can be rightly proud of your achievements. I suspect finding a replacement will be the hardest challenge the Board has faced during your 9 year tenure.
