As a co-op, we’re run differently. We’re not owned by a wealthy few, we are owned by our Members. They have a say in how we’re run, help to pick our Board, and choose how our profits are spent in our local communities. And when you’re owned by the people, you can do right by the people. When it comes to your food, your community, your life and even your death. It’s only right that it is determined by you. We’re not just your local shop or funeral home. We’re a 180-year-old global movement, all trying to do the right thing. Your voice, your values, your co-op.

It's been 10 days since we had to close our doors. Here's the latest update: 📝 We submitted all the necessary paperwork to the city last Thursday, and now we're eagerly waiting for the State to review and approve our plans. 🔍 Once the plans are approved, the city will come back to reinspect the space. Unfortunately, there's no specific timeline for this process, but rest assured, we're doing everything we can to expedite it. The sucky part about the closure is that it impacts people. 🧗♂ To our founding members: We understand that losing access to our gym means losing a place for physical, emotional, and mental refuge. Your membership is on hold for now, so you won't be facing any financial burden during this time. 🐐 To our amazing GOAT Ambassadors: We recognize that being out of work isn't easy, especially when bills need to be paid. To support them, we're offering some hours with community service opportunities and will provide a raise once we reopen. 💪 These may not be perfect solutions, but we're committed to doing our best to support our community until we can navigate through this situation with the city.

Hmmmmm… Why does it seem easier to solve a Rubik’s cube than it is to find out what it costs to join some communities? Seriously, what’s the big secret? The Outlier Project is either $164/mo or $1968/yr. You pick what works best for you. It’s the same price either way. It’s also locked in for life so when we increase our pricing your price never changes. If you go to our website you’ll find our pricing in less than 10 seconds. If you want to join it might take you another 12 seconds. If you like TOP you’ll stay and if you don’t you won’t. If you’re an asshole I’ll ask you to leave and refund your money (it’s happened twice) which is why we don’t make you “apply” to get in. 99% of our members come to us through word of mouth. We are in many case 5x or more LESS than comparable communities but that’s not why we make our pricing easy to find. We make it easy because, well, why wouldn’t we? We want you to become a member not search for an hour only to then fill out some form and hope to hear back for “the big reveal”. We’re into changing your life not making you jump through hoops like a circus animal. If you want to talk to someone before you join you’ll talk to the Founder aka me. Once you join we will probably talk a lot. It’s the most fun thing about running a community, I get to meet and become friends with amazing people. P.S. We have about 750 unbelievable members and the community is incredible because of its intimacy and unique culture so we are capping our membership at 2000 people because beyond that we’ll slowly become a watered down version of what makes TOP great and that is super unappealing to me. I’ll take impact over income all day long. #theoutlierproject #anyonecanbeordinary #peopleovereverything #community
