But we can’t let the fun – or support – stop here… As loved as Pudsey and the annual appeal is, it creates a challenge: income that’s heavily concentrated around this one night. So together with BBC Children in Need, we’ve been hard at work – to establish a year-round regular giving programme that brings ongoing support to children and communities throughout the UK. This exciting new initiative means the charity can make a deeper, lasting impact, with a more stable income stream allowing it to address growing needs. Right now, BBC Children in Need can only fund 1 in 8 organisations that ask for support. With this RG programme, we aim to change that by providing a way for supporters to make a monthly difference directly within their communities.
