“What’s broken in primary care, and what's actually working?” That was the big question at #HLTH24. From overloaded PCPs to disconnected patient journeys, execs shared an urgent truth: primary care isn’t serving people as effectively as it should be. But there’s a glimmer of hope—and it starts with accurate provider data. When data on providers is accessible and reliable, everything changes. Imagine a system where patients are seamlessly guided to the right provider at the right time, resources are allocated efficiently, and providers don’t waste time navigating outdated records. Certify is making this a reality, turning provider data into a powerful tool for change in healthcare. Because fixing primary care starts with fixing the data. The "data" story in healthcare continues to dominate the conversations I’m having with peers and partners in healthcare. As I’ve talked about before, it’s astounding to consider that healthcare as an industry accounts for 30% (!) of all data out there. Yet, despite its vast potential, we still haven’t cracked the code to truly “unleash” or “harness” it effectively. Regulatory frameworks, while critical for ensuring privacy and security, often create bottlenecks that stifle the creativity and innovation needed to put this data to work for our most important stakeholders: patients, providers, care teams, and beyond. As David Snow aptly points out: “VBC works when healthcare stakeholders have access to clean, enriched data that informs decision-making throughout a patient’s health journey. We have the data, but our siloed approach and the patchwork of point solutions that comprise most healthcare technology ecosystems make it difficult for even well-intentioned organizations to maximize data.” Here’s to hoping we can come together as an industry to unlock that future. #valuebasedcare #future #data #healthcare #stellarhealth

Manually sending directory updates to insurers is a burdensome task that costs practices nearly $3 billion each year. It requires physicians to spend hours updating data rather than delivering direct patient care, and it still doesn’t ensure accuracy. Madaket CEO Eric Demers discusses why neutral solutions are needed now more than ever to facilitate accurate provider data exchange in his article at HIT Consultant Media: https://lnkd.in/ePQkDm2v #payers #healthcare #healthtech
