Entrepreneurship is taking shape in Kenya.  However the government of Kenya has no precise policy developed to guide on Entrepreneurship.  What we have is a myriad of "small"  policies mentioning mostly one aspect or focus area of the policy mostly source of finance for the  business.  However the entrepreneurship policy shoud be broad but easy to understand too.The broad policy should comprise various focus areas as follows with each specific laid down initiative how to achieve it.The entrepreneurship policy Framework should Address the following 7 targetareas which should be incorporated in the policy provisions which are;1. Promoting entrepreneurship education and culture2. Supporting new business start ups through the venture creation and growth processes3. Enhancing access to start up and expansion capital4. Optimizing regulatory environment,5. Harnessing the potential of science technology and innovation in enterprisedevelopment6. Promoting enterprise awareness and networking 7. Have I mentioned how proud I am of our work on strengthening #township #entrepreneurship in #SouthAfrica 🇿🇦? The two reports just released by ANDE Southern Africa are more than just good #research 📈. They are the culmination of months of rich dialogue among township entrepreneurs, policy makers, and ESOs who poured their knowledge and experience into every discussion with a common goal: dispel the invisible barriers that make the glass box surrounding townships to this day. The results, though not surprising, still need to be written in black and white and said out loud in the broad daylight if they are to be taken to action. As a research-based convener, the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs's role is to lend its platform to the amplification of this message, and we're grateful for the support of partners like GIZ South Africa, Lesotho & eSwatini and the Walmart Foundation that have enabled our work in this topic so far.
