Storyboarding the way it was meant to be! Check out this new tool, an app that lets you focus on your creative vision!
We believe it's always best to start with a simple storyboard to approve the framing and the flow of a story. Then transform to illustrations or photo's for animatics, this is simple with Dreamboards! But even better - is that you can iterate or update the board, such as when clients say "I would like to see more diversity in the script". Hey presto, I can do that easily now. Please follow us to keep up to date.

🖼️ If a picture is worth a thousand words… what is a simple sketch worth? ✍️ The next time you’re sharing a complex idea, I encourage you to try and show it with simple sketches. Here’s how to keep it simple 1. Use basic shapes, lines, text, arrows, stick figures and symbols 2. Keep it quick. Just enough to get the idea across 3. Don’t worry about the details and mistakes I know many of you will think that you can’t draw. But don’t sleep on the power of your mark to enhance your words. Let me know in the comments if you sketch out your ideas. Take a closer look at my quick storyboards below. 👀 - Make your business easier to understand with animation. Follow me for more 👋 - P.s. You might be onto something with these graphic borders Keith Bilous 😉👊

I've had great mentors and friends at Hi-Rez who taught me about character modeling, art direction, and how to create and maintain a cohesive art style. I wanted to take those lessons and apply them to a project of my own! It’s still in the early stages, but I’m really happy with the direction so far. The visual theme is inspired by a pen-and-paper DnD campaign, but set in the modern world. Player characters are designed around heroic archetypes, with their size, shape language, and colors reinforcing those roles. Since the game’s scope is fairly large for a solo artist (and because the style set for the characters will be reflected in the environment), I’ve calibrated the art style to be both manageable and repeatable. Large color areas, simplified faces, and post-process shaders help tie everything together, reduce workload, and make the art style more unique. What are some other ways you can think of to manage the visual scope of a project with a small or solo team? #Godot #Game #Development #Character #Design

Why only post the finished product? 😅 Last week I woke up thinking Pegboards were cool af. Don't know why... So I did a mini-project exploring animation, sequencing, and lighting around them. This was very spontaneous and formed as I worked on it. Here are a few things I am still looking to improve: - 0.04: Smoothen the slowing a bit more, maybe bring the resting position down a bit - 0:05: The camera slows down a bit too much, so the cut doesn't transition ideally. - 0:06: Proper UV Unwrapping of the model. - 0:08: Animate the light so the shadows highlight each wooden stick for more contrast and easier readability - 0:09: Improve textures - 0:10: Build another scene with contrasting tools and material to show the versatility of pegboards. Is this sort of interesting to you; or do you prefer the high-gloss finished renders only? *this is a low-res preview to check the lighting etc.

I re-created (Iman Gadzhi's) new book animation Here's how 👇 (MY VISION) ⏳ 1. Book animation itself ⏳ I will give credit to this creator for explaining it the best: https://lnkd.in/dbzuR7qY 🌌 2. Wood texture 🌌 I added wood texture to background and book pages, - Download a laminate texture png from google - put the image above the background - Use motion tile if needed - Set mode to DARKEN or something similar - Play around with opacity 🌠 3. Font 🌠 I used CLOISTER BLACK from dafont.com (Medieval Font) 🌤 4. Light 🌤 I tried using Lights in AE, 2 Point lights at different locations 1 Ambient light with low intensity 🔥 5. Details 🔥 - Curves - Vignette - Noise, ~8%, de-activate color noise - Posterize time to ~14 (Laggy look) You may also add other details like: - Dust grains - Damaged film - Film burn (Red-tinted like in Iman's video) HAVE A COOL SUNDAY 😎

How I make my BORING animations come to life in just 7 easy steps (and how you can do it too) Create an adjustment layer once the animations are done. Apply the following effects: 1. CC Vignette: Set amount to 30. 2. Radial Blur: Set amount between -2 to 5. 3. Noise: Set between 15 to 20 and uncheck "Color Noise." 4. Posterize Time: Set to 12. 5. Glow: Set to 120. 6. Optics Compensation: Add and adjust as needed. ♻️ Share this with your network to help others. Follow me (Faizan Siddiqui) for more.

Create this "popcorn" effect using Adobe After Effects and Newton 4. 🍿🤩 Download the source files here: https://lnkd.in/d5rq866b This can be done very quickly, here's how: 🔷 I've used images here, but you may use videos or shape layers. Best practice is to send Newton optimized shapes ( rectangles or circles). This will speed up your preview and give better results. ➡️ Import your footages. Duplicate them to have around 100 layers (more or less depending on what you want). Randomize the entry point of all your layers. You can do it by hand, but here I'm using a script called Rift. ➡️ Launch Newton. Set a Comp Wall at the bottom (but you can use 2 or 3 walls depending on your design, composition format, etc.). Turn off gravity by setting it to 0. Set the Sub-steps to 50 (or more, the more Sub-steps you set the more precise the animation will be). Set the friction of the walls and objects to 50. Use the Randomizer to randomize the position and rotation of your objects. ➡️ And that's all! You've got your animation. You can, of course, tweak the settings to make it your way. You could also use the teleportation feature to reuse the layers once they are offscreen! How to CREATE this 𝗘𝗣𝗜𝗖 𝟯𝗗 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢 PARRALAX animation 👇 1. ☄ 𝗟𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 ☄ I isolated each subject in Photoshop • Muhammad Ali • The referee • The crowd • The boxer on the canvas • The floor 2. 💊 𝟯𝗗 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 💊 After importing the isolated layers PSD file into After Effects, I enabled 3D layers and arranged each layer sequentially. I moved the background to the back and layered each subject accordingly. Then, I added a two-node camera, where I added a null object, linked it to the camera, and set a few position keyframes. I repeated this process by adding two or three more null objects. 3. 🔥 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗰𝘆 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗜 🔥 To create a handheld camera effect, I customized the point of interest keyframe and used a wiggle shake expression. I also added a posterize time effect to the entire composition using an adjustment layer. 4. 🔥 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗰𝘆 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗜𝗜 🔥 For final touches, I added the CC Vignette effect and customized the expression to wiggle again, giving it a flickering effect. Lastly, to top it all off, I added some ambient sounds 🔊 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Follow me for more free insights 🔁
