Hey, did you know we've got a guide explaining how to nail our Cognitive Aptitude Test? Check it out here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gnhdqBHp. 👀 Real talk: we won’t sugarcoat it—the test is tough, even with the guide. We hear your feedback loud and clear when you say it's challenging. And honestly? Like qualifying for the Olympics or Mensa: being too difficult for ordinary people is a feature, not a bug. CCAT may be controversial, but it's based on a century of peer-reviewed research proving that cognitive aptitude is a better predictor of job performance than any traditional datapoint. So, this guide isn’t for everyone. It’s for those ready to prove they’re among the world's top 1% of professional talent 🌍. Think you’ve got what it takes?

𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀? 3 years of experience & a Bachelor's degree is often the best attempt at pinpointing the necessary skills required to complete the work. Combined with vague descriptions from "A self-starter who wears many hats" to being able to "leverage best-in-class solutions" the search for the right talent has been complicated. This is why we are hosting a virtual workshop to demonstrate how we can cut through the noise and discover the "𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸". Back in the 80s, we usually swam with the tide. There were three distinct career options, Science, Commerce and Arts and one’s career was frequently dictated by academic results and family traditions. There were indeed exceptions but these were rather rare and far in between. Things are much different today. Options are many and with that there is a problem of choice. There is also the added option of switching over to an altogether different course, something which was quite alien some two/three decades ago. The options of plenty though a good thing to have, at times lands one with the problem of choice and once a choice has been made, the difficulty lies in sticking with the choice. As a teen, our choice of a movie was limited to those that ran in a few cinema theatres; today the choice is not the movie but the channel where I should watch the movie. When we replicate this to our career, it is important to be able to assess one’s marketability, discover development areas, realise ones potential better and then be in a position to appropriately market it. This is exactly what we help aspirants achieve at BetterMyCareer. We are a team of professionals from varied sectors in the industry, each with more than 30 years of experience in the corporate sector. We offer through our Job Cracking Simulator - CQI (Career Quotient Index) in a fully digital and AI-powered simulation process, the process of "Bettering oneself". Also on offer are personalized plans with profile sculpting and Industry super mentor sessions. If this sound interesting, we invite you to https://lnkd.in/ddfA-7Y9

I thoroughly enjoyed this Micro Course from The Economist Education and GetSmarter. My new certification: Critical Thinking: Problem-Solving and Decision-Making in a Complex World! Especially in today’s day, with so much information (and misinformation) at our fingertips, it is so important to think critically about what we consume. To question things, and admit when we’re wrong, or simply don’t know. To be aware of our cognitive biases, our heuristics, the way our brains jump to conclusions and assumptions, and fill in the gaps in order to digest the world around us. It’s much easier to oversimplify information confirming what you already believe with a lack of reasoning and perspective. Pause… reflect, and remember that your perspective is exactly that – your perspective. And our perspectives of the world are so diverse. Leaning into this diversity is paramount to great decision-making – in a personal and professional capacity. Let’s be more critical in the way we approach the world. Not everything is as it seems. A couple of outtakes from the course are: • Seek diverse perspectives in decision-making, this will ensure less groupthink, blind spots, and errors, while ensuring more innovation. • Build time to do nothing into your day. Our “productive” society says you need permission to do this, but you actually don’t. By switching off, we allow new thoughts to enter. • Normalise clarifying people’s points of views in collaboration. Ask follow-up questions and don’t be afraid to be wrong or say you don’t know. • “You cannot think critically unless you’re finding ways constantly to open yourself up to this diversity.” Tom Chatfield

Help me crowdsourcing research on new thought leadership. What industries and company types generate the most jobs? What industries are most at risk from AI job displacement in the near future? Hoping this is a Venn diagram and not one circle. The answer to this question can tell us what industries society should focus on, from the leftmost side of the diagram. Thoughts?
