Today marks the conclusion of the campaign, but the fight must continue. Gender-based violence affects millions worldwide, and we cannot afford to remain silent. Our Pledge: . Today, on the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, we pause to honor the lives lost to gender-based violence and stand in solidarity with survivors. This day reminds us of the tragedy at École Polytechnique in 1989, when 14 women were murdered because they were women.
