We have approached the festive season and it’s important to reflect on one of our industry’s most profound truths: safety is written in the lessons of the past. Every precaution we take and every guideline we follow is rooted in real-life experiences that remind us of the importance of putting safety first. In our line of work, where heavy machinery and towering structures are part of daily life, safety isn’t just a rule—it’s a way of life. While the festive season often takes us beyond our work environments, we urge every member of our team to carry this commitment to safety into their homes, travels, and celebrations. Whether on-site or off-duty, prioritizing safety ensures not just the success of our projects, but the well-being of everyone in our family, both at work and at home. Let’s all embrace this mindset as we step into the season of joy and togetherness. From all of us at #Technicrete, we wish you and your loved ones a safe, peaceful, and happy festive season. Let’s return in the new year refreshed, recharged, and ready to build together—safely. #SafetyFirst #StaySafeThisSeason #BuiltOnSafety

Closing up for Christmas? Here are a few little things to tick off your festive safety checklist before you head home... ✨If you are leaving any lights on until later, (in display windows or similar), use timer switches to make sure lights will turn off through the night. ✨Ensure doorways and corridors are left clear and tidy of clutter from the Christmas party. You can do the main clean up in the New Year if you like, but you don't want anyone to trip on the first day back. ✨If there is any food left over from festive tea-breaks, make sure to either take it home with you or discard the crumbs. Coming back in January to find moulding foodstuffs in your work area is no fun. Knowing you have left your workplace safe, secure and ready for action will ensure you can properly enjoy your time away. Happy holidays!

🦃 Because Every Employee Deserves a Safe and Happy Holiday 🦃 At BDN, we’re all about creating safer, healthier work environments – and that commitment extends beyond the workplace. As Thanksgiving approaches, it’s a time for family, gratitude, and celebration, but safety should always remain a priority. Here are a few tips to help everyone enjoy the holiday while staying safe: 🔹 Kitchen Safety: With so much cooking happening, accidents can easily occur. Keep flammable materials away from stovetops, never leave cooking unattended, and ensure a fire extinguisher is nearby. 🔹 Travel Smart: If you’re hitting the road, plan ahead, check weather conditions, and avoid distractions while driving. Everyone deserves to reach their destination safely. 🔹 Food Handling Matters: Properly thaw, cook, and store food to avoid foodborne illnesses. Remember, no one wants to visit the porcelain unexpectedly! 🔹 Workplace Holiday Prep: For those working during the holiday season, make sure safety protocols are followed. Whether it’s in retail, healthcare, or any other sector, a little extra caution can go a long way. DO NOT RUSH to get home, this is when accidents happen! At BDN, we believe safety is more than a policy – it’s a way of showing care for the people who matter most. Let’s carry that same mindset into this holiday season. As we approach the festive season, let's make safety our top priority! Here are some key tips to keep you and your loved ones safe during the holidays: Decorating Safely Tree Care: If you're using a real tree, keep it well-watered and away from heat sources. For artificial trees, ensure they're labeled "fire resistant". Lights: Inspect your holiday lights for wear and tear. Replace any with frayed cords or loose connections. Remember, don't link more than three strands of lights together. Candles: Opt for battery-operated flameless candles. If using real candles, never leave them unattended and keep them away from flammable materials. Workplace Safety Stay Focused: The holidays can be distracting, but it's crucial to keep your mind on the task at hand, especially in high-risk jobs. Ladder Safety: When hanging decorations, ensure ladders are on stable ground and maintain three points of contact at all times. Electrical Safety: Don't overload outlets or run cords under rugs. If you need more outlets, consult a qualified electrician. Personal Well-being Combat Fatigue: The season can be tiring. Take breaks when needed and ensure you're well-rested, especially if driving. Manage Stress: The holidays can be stressful. Remember to take care of yourself and seek support if needed. Food Safety: When preparing holiday meals, practice good hygiene and ensure food is cooked properly to avoid foodborne illnesses. Remember, the best gift you can give your loved ones is your presence. Stay safe, stay healthy, and enjoy the holiday season! #HolidaySafety #WorkplaceSafety #SeasonalTips
