We have approached the festive season and it’s important to reflect on one of our industry’s most profound truths: safety is written in the lessons of the past. Every precaution we take and every guideline we follow is rooted in real-life experiences that remind us of the importance of putting safety first. In our line of work, where heavy machinery and towering structures are part of daily life, safety isn’t just a rule—it’s a way of life. While the festive season often takes us beyond our work environments, we urge every member of our team to carry this commitment to safety into their homes, travels, and celebrations. Whether on-site or off-duty, prioritizing safety ensures not just the success of our projects, but the well-being of everyone in our family, both at work and at home. Let’s all embrace this mindset as we step into the season of joy and togetherness. From all of us at #Technicrete, we wish you and your loved ones a safe, peaceful, and happy festive season. Let’s return in the new year refreshed, recharged, and ready to build together—safely. #SafetyFirst #StaySafeThisSeason #BuiltOnSafety

Closing up for Christmas? Here are a few little things to tick off your festive safety checklist before you head home... ✨If you are leaving any lights on until later, (in display windows or similar), use timer switches to make sure lights will turn off through the night. ✨Ensure doorways and corridors are left clear and tidy of clutter from the Christmas party. You can do the main clean up in the New Year if you like, but you don't want anyone to trip on the first day back. ✨If there is any food left over from festive tea-breaks, make sure to either take it home with you or discard the crumbs. Coming back in January to find moulding foodstuffs in your work area is no fun. Knowing you have left your workplace safe, secure and ready for action will ensure you can properly enjoy your time away. Happy holidays!

IMPORTANT! FESTIVE SEASON – Preparations & Arrangements The Festive Season is around the corner and certain preparations and arrangements need to be done. Please take note of the following: 1. Test your alarm at least two weeks before leaving on holiday and please remember to inform our Control Room you are testing. This will ensure enough time to get it fixed before leaving. 2. Make sure all windows are closed before leaving and double check that all doors are locked. 3. Appoint a family member or friend to check the inside of your home regularly to make sure that your electricity is still on and your refrigerator still working. Please let us know who your keyholder is with contact details. Don’t stock your fridge before going on holiday, every year there are many cases where fridges defrost and lots of food and meat goes to waste. 4. Cancel deliveries of newspapers and/or other materials, leaving it outside could advertise you are away. 5. Do not leave keys to your safe or vehicles in open view. Rather take them with or hide them in a secure location. Lockup all valuables. Take TV’s off the walls and lockup where possible. 6. Pets get bored easily and need a human playmate. A friend or family member also needs to check up on their well-being. It gets very hot towards the end of the year, does your pet have enough shade or shelter and water? Snakes are also very active during hot months, please do not leave your pets alone for long periods of time, let someone check up on their wellbeing regularly.
