today's story: don't be too proud to ask for help. At the end of the day the whole team needs to deliver the project. It can be a learning opportunity. Yes, do put in some effort and try to get things done, however, when stuck, ask your team for help/assistance. ask the vendor. Do something rather than staying stuck. Learn and continue your work. And be constructive - stay away from perfectionists that are more concerned about philosophical debates rather than project deliverables. #AdobeCommerce #Magento2 #WebDevelopment #TeamWork #TechCommunity

Day 4 of 🔥20daysinPDwithAA Yesterday, I shared on the important of Competitive Analysis, where I prepared our minds for what I will be sharing today. Drum rolls 🥁 ,so today I will be talking about 👇. Without further ado ,let's get right into it. HOW TO CARRY OUT COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS : .Set goals(outline your objectives); Before carrying out a competitive analysis, know exactly what you intend to learn(be specific ). Decide if it's the landing page feature you intend to work on , or the login feature. Having a goal makes it easier to evaluate results and keep focus on what should be prioritized. . Identify your competitors; With the advice of the having a shortlist of about 5-10 competitors, with 5 being the minimum(including both direct and indirect competitors), you should ask your clients who their top competitors are. .Take notes, screenshot and Repeat; Now becoming a user yourself is most advisable, navigate to the relevant features of interest, try using it yourself, take note of the experiences and anything you see , then take screenshots, organize them in a folder and save for future references.(Take notes of the standard practices , features that are important to your users , and compare yours to the competitors to see where you need to improve on). .Analysize your findings and Present them; Compile your findings , including only relevant and useful information, and draw out your findings, from here you should be able to see the ways you can improve your product user experience and also realizing your competitors strengths and weaknesses and what opportunities you have been provided with to give your unique touch. Then present it in a concise manner , decked with relevant points , persuasive proofs and valuable insights . Lastly make recommendations on the impact of the research and propose an action that will be beneficial. Thank you Stella Atuegwu for beautifully impacting this knowledge and also a big Thank you to Dr. Aanu Gopald and the Africa Agility Foundation for the opportunity to be part of this amazing program. 🔥 Product Design #20daysinPDwithAA #GIT20daysChallenge #AfricaAgility #AficanGirlsinTechBootcamp #UIUXTrack #DayFour

🥳 #HappyFriday Folks and what a hectic and incredible few weeks we've had here at Slick+ HQ. 🎯 This week we achieved an important milestone as we hit our target to complete v1 of our platform and move from MVP to Beta. The list of features and improvements is extensive and includes: 📌 enhanced search (incl. history, auto completion etc.) 📌 new 'request a slick' feature with colleague tagging 📌 simplified user profile management 📌 a great new notifications and comments system 📌 improved features to create playlists 📌 configurable categorization by organizational key goals and much, much, much more.... 🙏🏼 Big shout out to our technology director Patrick O'Sullivan for marshaling us all over the last five months or so and leading the dev team and process with determination, focus and positivity. And, we've already moved on to our roadmap which includes SSO, MS365 integration, AI-powered personalization, mobile version and more. 🗣️ Now that the platform has entered Beta phase we are ready to move from testing and trials to on-boarding customers and ramping up our outreach and marketing. We already have several great clients to partner with and are super-excited to start this right away. 💁🏼♂️💁🏼♀️ The team gathered this week to plan this campaign - which will be offering a 2 week free trial for organizations and teams of all sizes - and it has been a real thrill to see everyone pitch in and collaborate as we get our support systems and plans in place, and get ready to finalize lots of inbound and outbound collateral and resources such as e-books, gifs, email flows, product tours, webinars and more. 🙌🏼 Too many highlights to share at this important moment but special mention to Mike Conroy and the Data2Sustain team who provided valuable support as we dived deep, deep, deep into user personas to ensure our UX/UI is fit-for-purpose. Thanks to Padraic Lynch and team for a fantastic collaboration. Big shout out too to Noreen Conway LIB QFA PGC and the great crew at Platform94 where our team regularly hot desks and gathers - we always feel welcome, supported, inspired and energized in our de-facto HQ. ⛳ And a final word just to flag a few important things to look out for. Slick+ will be running its own #SocialLearning event on 28 November 2024 at the state-of-the-art Advancing Innovation in Manufacturing (AIM) Centre in Sligo with the wonderful Julie Dowling. It'll be invite only, catering for HR and L&D leaders in particular -if you are interested to be kept up-to-date please let us know in comments or messages or ping paul@slick.plus ➕ Please follow/share our Slick+ page here on LinkedIn to join the journey as we launch our solution into the market and continue to evolve and grow with our partners and customers! #onwardsandupwards ❓Do you know the significance of the image accompanying this post 😉 #onboarding #mentoring #sociallearning #knowledgesharing

On my way to meet with the team today. 🤩 We’re at a stage now where we have something to show and have early users try out. Planning on doing a loom recording that can be shared with stakeholders, people and companies who are curious and want to know more about what we’re building and the problem we’re trying to solve. Let me know if you or someone you know could be interested in seeing more and I’ll be happy to put you on the list 😍🙏🏼 #buildinpublic #esgsoftware #sustainabledevelopment #planetimpact

#MessyDeskFriday 🖥️📚 Every Friday, my desk becomes a monument to a week's worth of ideas, scribbles, and accumulated clutter. And you know what? I actually love it. Why? Because it perfectly aligns with how my team and I operate—weekly sprints. We build, experiment, and hustle through the week. By Friday, we’re wrapping up, taking stock of our wins and missteps, and resetting for the next round. When I was coding, this worked beautifully for dev sprints, and it turns out, it works just as well for B2B marketing. We test new strategies, launch bold campaigns, and then watch the results unfold. At the end of the week, we reflect, adjust, and sprint again. It keeps us agile. It keeps us creative. And most importantly, it keeps us learning. Anyone else using sprints to tackle marketing challenges? How does it work for you? 👇 #WeeklySprints #B2BMarketing #AgileMarketing #FridayReflection
