The number of properties for sale across the UK that were previously rented at some point in the last three years has risen considerably over the last year and has reached its highest level in a decade. Data from property consultancy Twenty Ci shows that in Q3 2024, 11.3% of all new properties listed for sale were found to have been available to rent at some point in the last three years. Here’s to the little Guy/girl🏡 This was our first sale as a new agency. On the market for 3 years (yes 36 months) with so called “market leaders”. I plucked up the courage and offered my services to the seller who was abroad. We had never met but clicked instantly. Her faith in us paid off and within 6 weeks of listing we had a secured deal at a good price. How come the so called bigger agencies couldnt sell it? Heres why —> the current estate agency system in SA is broken. Area agents unable to offer their buyers a single trusted point of contact across suburbs at a value driven commission rate. Too often I have seen deals fall through due to the agents overpricing themselves with high commissions robbing valuable equity out of the deal.
