Interesting 30min item on Palmer Luckey's Anduril and how he is planning to disrupt the (US) Defense industry. In my opinion, In the past few months Anduril had been launching some game changers in CUAS like the Roadrunner-M and Pulsar EW platforms. Anduril is in my opinion already disrupting the defense industry.Go Anduril! 🔥 #Anduril #CUAS #GuardFromAbove

A great discussion on the realities of political economy, military industrial complex, systems management and innovation processes; and wartime and post-war rebuilding programs in the societal social/military realms. Listen to what he is saying with this lens/context in mind and ask how the concepts are applied and similar to real world/real life settings......aka non-animated/non-Star Wars. 😉 #politicaleconomy #geopolitics #militaryindustrialcomplex ##systemsmanagement #businessinnovation #publicsector #economy #economicdevelopment #warplanning #peacebuilding #newstrategicreality #geopolticalrisk #humancapital #humancapitalmanagement #humancapitaldevelopment

009 Dutch Defense by Innovation Corridor This variation involves sharp play and early queen activity, with White aiming for quick development and tactical opportunities against Black's position. The Staunton Gambit leads to unbalanced positions where both sides have chances for active play and dynamic tactics. #StauntonGambit #DutchDefense #ChessOpenings #AggressiveChess #TacticalChess #ChessStrategy #OpeningAnalysis #ChessTactics #QuickDevelopment #EarlyQueenActivity via YouTube https://lnkd.in/dkHFSkiJ

Intelligent commentary from former Canadian ambassaors to Russia, Jeremy Kinsman, Ralph Lysyshynand John Sloand as we talk about what Alexei Navalny represented, what is next for Putin and Russia, the effect of sanctions, whether the West, Ukraine and Russia are ready for a forever war and how it might end, and what more can Canada do to help Ukraine.
As the #UkraineRussiaWar enters its third year, we must take stock of several grim realities, such as the death of Alexei Navalny. Jeremy Kinsman, Ralph Lysyshyn, and John Sloan join Colin Robertson to consider the implications of the second anniversary of the war on the latest #GlobalExchange. During the 1968 Tet Offensive, the battle for Hue was the fiercest, bloodiest, and longest of the war. This piece only focuses on a single day of one Marine's remembrance during this battle. Read what he had to say. https://lnkd.in/enDtgW7

Week 7 Challenge: “Ender’s Game” - For those familiar with the book: the goal is to get at least 4 game pieces across the map and into the spaces that represent the “enemy’s gate”. To set up the “battle room”: First, place four obstacles on the following spaces - 00/12, 00/17, 29/12, and 29/17. These obstacles represent the entry and exit ‘gates’ depicted in the book. Next, each player takes turns placing the final 16 obstacle game pieces (8 each) anywhere on the battle boards EXCEPT on the board of the opposing player’s gate. Game play: The first player begins by moving his/her game pieces through the four gate spaces (in between the aforementioned obstacles pieces) to get onto the game board. All basic rules for movement and attack apply (see our YouTube channel for official rules). Game ends when one player successfully gets four of his/her game pieces into the opposing player’s “gate” simultaneously. In the situation where neither player has four or more game pieces remaining, then the game is declared a stalemate. Good luck and remember “The enemy’s gate is down. It is always down!” - Ender Wiggin. #strategy #strategygames #wargames #wargaming #wargamingcommunity #boardgames #boardgamesofinstagram #army #marines #infantry #infantryman #infantrylife #veterans #veteranowned #disabledveteran

I recently finished Arthur Herman’s book ‘Freedom’s Forge’ about how President Franklin Roosevelt energized the nation’s defense industrial base well before the attack on Pearl Harbor. In the mid-1930s, America was not prepared. But America changed that, through a massive build-up, involving military, industry, and every-day American citizens. In many ways, we are an environment similar to the 1930s. I want to ensure we have the defense industrial base that can produce capability when we need it. We need to have some level of consistency. If we have consistency in demand and resources, that builds trust. By building that trust, the defense industrial base can build out their work force, supply chain, and their facilities. If we're able to do this, then we are going to get our capability much faster, on time, and less expensive. The Department has laid out a National Defense Industrial Strategy that talks about our workforce and our supply chains. We want to make sure we understand how we're able to build up the capability and capacity that will be put it into the hands of our war fighters and to ensure any fight we might enter will be unfair.

2moAnduril and General Atomics were the only companies to be down-selected for Tranche 2 of USAF’s CCA loyal wingman program. They beat three big traditional defence primes.
