The top takeaways from the Shiji Q1 Guest Experience Benchmark in the Asia Pacific region: 🔸 The Asia Pacific market continues to be the best performing market in terms of GRI. 🔸 The top 5-star hotels improved their GRI over the last quarter but their performance seems to be plateauing. 🔸 Overall management response was cut down by more than 2 days over Q1 2023, a notable improvement. 🔸 Agoda now holds a market share of almost 14%, an increase of 4.8 points over Q1 2023. 🌟 My Experience at Kube Hotel (Machefert Group) in Paris 🌟 I recently revisited the Kube Hotel in Paris, and it highlighted for me how the right technology can make hotel stays much more enjoyable. 🏨✨ A Warm Welcome Back Upon entering the lobby, I was greeted warmly by the staff who already had all my details securely saved in Mews from before. This meant that check-in was quick and easy. 🛎️ Instead of dealing with paperwork, I spent most of that time catching up with the staff, sharing stories, and discussing my plans in Paris. 🗣️💬 The Role of Technology The seamless check-in experience is made possible by smart technology that takes care of all the details in the background. This technology isn't just about speeding things up—it's about freeing up the staff so they can spend more time engaging with guests, enhancing the personal touch that makes a stay memorable. 📲💡 Conversations, Not Transactions At Kube Hotel, the check-in felt more like a friendly chat than a business transaction.
