Welding thick-section steel can be 40% faster and use 60% less energy when dynamic beam laser (DBL) technology from Civan is used - instead of hybrid welding using laser and Metal Inert Gas/Metal Active Gas technologies. These are just two of many remarkable results of a collaborative study by shipbuilder Fincantieri and welding systems firm Castellini which show Civan DBLs are set to revolutionise thick-section steel welding for many industries. Hear more of Civan DBLs’ remarkable results – from Civan's ANZ distributor, Raymax, at bit.ly/3YQkNut     As well as shipbuilders, railcar manufacturers such as GemcoRail and CEO Geoff Thorn, and rail collaboration centres such as those under umbrella of the Core Innovation Hub, plus energy infrastructure firms - among others - would appreciate the multiple efficiencies of Civan DBL lasers. #shipbuilding #railcar #manufacturing #thicksectionwelding #railcollaborationcentre #CoreInnovationHub #GemcoRail #Forrestfieldrailcar #energyinfrastructure #renewablesinfrastructure
