Honestly, for most of my life, I believed I was my thoughts and emotions as I seemed to create them. Understanding that if I can observe my emotion without becoming it and observe a thought without attaching my worth to it, has been a game changer. Awareness is key. FACTS - We all experience thoughts and emotions. - Emotions and thoughts come and go. - Where I place my attention and focus will produce results. Emotionality and positionality are states we create from limiting beliefs. Letting go of the need to control is where the magic happens. As I was getting ready this morning, I was acknowledging how much I love my body, how I love to care for my body, and recognizing how far I’ve come, as this hasn’t always been the case. My old paradigm before I really dove into the deep healing inner work was … I am not valuable, I am not deserving, I am not good enough, I am not important, I am not worthy of love & care. Not because any of those beliefs are true, but because I believed them to be true, based on the meaning I gave to past memories, events & experiences etched into my nervous system. I didn’t treat myself well because of the programs operating inside of me, when the truth is, I was born worthy and nothing or no one can take that from me once I know it to be true for myself. As I have healed those parts of me who felt unworthy & undeserving, my updated programming & new paradigm allows me to give myself the kindness, love & care that I’ve always deserved, regardless of my circumstances. This is for anyone who hasn’t woken up to the truth of who you really are & hasn’t yet discovered your inherent worth. Story Time: Recently, my child was adamant about not doing a certain activity. But deep down, I knew that this experience and improving at it held invaluable lessons. It wasn't just about the activity – it was about resilience, discipline, and learning to face challenges head-on. So, with a mix of encouragement and a little bit of tough love, this child of mine is doing it. I absolutely let my kids quit activities and sports, but sometimes my discernment tells me they have to stick with something and just need coaching through a rough patch. You know your kid. You can sense when it’s time for then to quit and when you need to rally your kid through whatever their rough patch too. Sometimes letting them quit is the coaching, and you letting go of the thing is what they need to decide if they want it for themselves. Pushing my kid to do this was about teaching them that they are capable of more than they think, that pushing through discomfort leads to growth, and that sometimes the hardest paths lead to the most rewarding destinations. Remember, our kids are more resilient than we sometimes give them credit for. Would you revisit the place of your childhood? 🌟 If you have had a happy childhood, you should I don't mean the physical place, but the place of your childhood deep inside you. Reconnecting with your childhood can be a beautiful journey of self-discovery and understanding. It's where you are just "YOU," without any layers. It's your natural identity, crafted by nature—a place where your self-identity hasn't been shaped by the world around you. Remember? in this place, you're filled with curiosity and wonder. You're openly vulnerable, and willing to take risks just to learn more. You embrace new experiences, trusting your instincts completely. Your imagination knows no bounds, and you're willing to dream big. Energy flows through you effortlessly, and inspiration fills your mind without any blocks. As children, we were often very present in the moment, fully engaged in our activities. If you can practice mindfulness and being present, as you might have done naturally as a child, you can reduce anxiety. It helps by preventing you from getting caught up in worries about the future or regrets about the past. What if you could revisit this place once in a while? It could help you untangle your anxieties and recharge your energy channels. I try to visit my place of childhood by escaping the maddening crowds and connecting with Mother Nature. I find a peaceful, quiet place where I can sit and reflect without interruptions. My mind relives the wonder years of my childhood & I start feeling light hearted Allowing your mind to wander back in time can trigger old memories & take you to that happy place of your childhood. I also try to reconnect with childhood friends because the friendships formed in childhood can be incredibly deep and meaningful & without the complexities of adult relationships. It helps me relive the good old days & my anxieties melt away Try spending time every day with your children, if they are still young. It will not only strengthen your bond with them but also provide a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with your own past.
