Who creates the discourse our times? Arguably, it is inherent in the concept of indie to go under the mainstream radar. Garage bands can only be garage bands for so long before either folding or going mainstream. Scaling up and turning pro is a hard road to travel. Gaming is everywhere around us. And as game developers go, indie developers have a size and minimal overhead to make their transient and lust-driven approach more sustainable than AAA developers money-making machines business model. They are small, but they are many. The sheer numbers of wildly varying character studios is a force to be reckoned with in forming the contemporary discourse. The talent out there to create substance with limited resources is truly mindboggling. While we sleep, free to follow their own compass, indie game developers are creating, interpreting and manifesting important parts of the intellectual heritage of our time. In the years to come, expect dofhouse, Jacob Akpinar Olsson , Erik Engström and their global peers to create influential gaming art.

I've mentioned this before, but it's worth repeating: shifting conveyancing searches to the start of the process won't significantly speed up property transactions in England. Tons of lessons learned from this experience that carry over into all aspects of life: 1.) The opportunity for athletic achievements like this is attainable, even for those with busy and/or unorthodox work schedules and family commitments. Training for this event took place mostly at odd hours of mornings or nights usually after long evening or overnight shifts. If you have been looking to take the plunge into an event like this, it’s all about structuring your schedule and the commitment you are willing to make. 2.) It reinforced a maxim I lived by in my career as a coach: Process over result. Don’t get me wrong, it was great to get to race day, achieve my goals, and get a medal. But arguably more enjoyable was the day-to-day process of training and executing the plan despite challenges with planning or unexpected changes in schedule. It is a testament to how small wins eventually compound into something bigger, and the powerful effect of habits built up over time. 3.) Maintaining a schedule that makes room for physical fitness is a huge hack for your mental health. In the midst of a career change, having something concrete on my schedule that made me feel good afterwards gave me a huge advantage in other areas of my life. If you are seriously considering signing up for a marathon or participating in one of the countless athletic events the fitness industry has to offer, I would recommend going for that challenge - and see where it takes you!
