Rotor blades are a significant recycling opportunity and challenge due to their size, material composition, and the need for environmentally responsible recycling solutions. At today´s EOLIS conference of WindEurope in Gothenburg, Sweden, Haras Najib presented VDMA´s “International Roadmap Recycling of Rotor Blades”. The roadmap will offer valuable insights into market potential and trends, helping to create a shared understanding of our future direction. It will also establish key principles and standards for the steps ahead, enabling all sectors of the industry to better plan for end-of-life. It was enriching to discuss the roadmap exercise with industry experts and gain valuable insights to further advance the circular economy.
