Wait ✋🛑 Before you overload a crane, consider looking into the safety factor of your machine! Though some parts of an overhead crane have built-in safety factors, this is not true of the entire crane system. For example, the crane may be attached to a building without those precautions. Be sure to triple-check these capabilities before overloading your crane! This can be the single most dangerous misconception about overhead cranes. Poorly managed overhead crane operations can cause equipment damage, plant shutdowns, and loss of life. The moment a load lifts the ground, your team is in a constant battle against gravity. The power and complexity of these cranes demand rigorous safety protocols to mitigate the risks. When working around overhead cranes, it's essential to understand what goes into a lift. We put together an overview covering the roles and responsibilities involved in lifting, OSHA compliance, and our top safety tips for safe and efficient operations: https://hubs.la/Q02Dygg-0 #overheadcrane #healthandsafety #materialhandling

Tandem lifting with cranes can be useful for lifting heavy objects or structures that are too large or heavy to be lifted by a single crane. ⚠ When the load is too heavy for a single piece of equipment, two cranes can safely distribute the weight. ⚠ When the load is too long or too wide, two cranes can provide anchor points that stabilize the load and prevent dangerous load swings. The crucial aspect of this type of operation is the simultaneous operation of the two devices. What are the factors to check while using the tandem lifting method? 1. You have to determine the center of gravity of the load before you attempt to lift the load. 2. The cranes' positions matter when lifting a huge load using the tandem method. 3. Sideloading must be avoided during tandem lifting/single lift. 4. Weight distribution is another factor we must consider while performing tandem lifts. 5. Wind speed, ground support, etc 6. A Qualified Lifting Plan must be approved and socialized to people involved in lifting operations. Any feedback from you all regarding this lifting plan? Let's review and learn together and have a great weekend! - DAS - #safeliftingoperations #tandemliftingoperations

**Saddle Jib Tower Crane Operation Overview** 🏗🏗🏗 In my capacity as a professional at London Tower Cranes I am frequently involved in various projects related to saddle or luffing jib tower cranes. My responsibilities encompass familiarising operators with the equipment, operating the cranes themselves, and conducting thorough assessments to ensure safety and efficiency. Each crane operation presents its own set of obstacles, whether it be a multi-crane site or a confined area requiring extensive communication and planning. Today's challenge involved a Grúas Sáez SL Tls65 60-meter jib, coupled with the rising structure, which can be particularly daunting for operators. With a long jib and limited hoist rope remaining, the loads become increasingly demanding. Nevertheless, I find these challenges stimulating and rewarding #londontowercranes #ltc #saez #professionaldevelopment #kent #constructionindustry #craneindustry #career
