A key opportunity lies in fostering thematic partnerships where universities focus on their strengths—such as AI, clean energy, or sustainability—and match with industries’ needs. Initiatives like CII’s Manthan platform and government programs like TIA and Samarth Udyog are a step in the right direction, but there’s immense scope to take this collaboration to the next level. We are excited to share that we recently conducted a workshop at Sambhaavanaa Institute, Himachal Pradesh, with our scholars studying at Delhi University Ashoka University BML Munjal University and Shoolini University We conducted different exercises through group activities to discuss the challenges that Karta scholars face. The idea was to understand how do we solve real life problems; when do we discuss with the group leaders and mentors; how do our minds play with us many times exaggerating the problems making them appear much bigger than they actually are; how are our lives are so similar in terms of the challenges that we face, though there is some uniqueness in our individual lives but they are quite limited; how do we again and again exaggerate the uniqueness over similarities; how do we get stuck with "main character syndrome" as we feel that we are the only main characters and the most important ones while rest others are just side players. Its very important that we should never treat people as a mere means to our own ends in our lives to build real, solid and lifelong relationships based on mutual trust, love and care. We also enacted a few plays with groups of scholars who played roles of family members coming from various socio-economic backgrounds - landless farm labor, small and marginal farmers, important events happening in the family - wedding, death and life threatening illness : how does one make decision to continue studies and do internships At an overall level, we discussed: 1) Importance of mentorship 2) Peer to peer learning 3) Sense of collective 4) Importance of workplace exposure and acquire necessary skills to be work ready through internships during the university years 5) the similarities amongst the cohort of Karta scholars- lack of privileges, confidence, mental stamina pressure of immediate income 6) how to set our goals and make action plan to achieve them while not to get stuck in the "main character symdrome" 7) to build life long relationships based on mutual trust 8) Observing and understanding our own minds when we face any challenge You would love to have a glimpse of a few pictures of our workshop :) We will be conducting similar workshops in Ahmedabad, Pune and Bhopal with our scholars studying these cities in the coming months. Please watch out this space for more lovely pictures and videos :) #youth #equity #opportunities

Finally! I must say that the last three months were nothing if not quite hectic - sleepless nights and my already-humongous work load tripled with the stress of frequent exams, mock tests and whatnot. But, amidst all these, I have been grateful enough to have enrolled myself in an 8-week certification course in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI). I am deeply grateful to Indian Institute of Technology, Madras to have provided me with this great opportunity to enhance my skill-set. I am also equally thankful to SFS Guwahati Official for giving me the chance to connect with such a marvellous programme. I, myself, am quite amazed with what I have imbibed in these 8 weeks - transforming from someone who didn’t know the ABCs of AI and ML to someone who now has a fine grasp on, at least, a sliver of the world of AI. Well, I am painfully aware of the fact that I still have a lot to learn, but, anyway, I guess, this is a great start. Isn’t it? #ArtificialIntelligence #MachineLearning #IITMadras #Apprenticeship #Trainee #Student

🎓 Excited to announce that I have officially graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Gyan Ganga College of Excellence, Jabalpur! 🎓 As I look back on this incredible journey, I’m filled with gratitude for the experiences, knowledge, and friendships that have shaped me along the way. To my fellow students still navigating through college, here are a few tips that helped me make the most of my time: 1. Stay Organized: Keep a planner or digital calendar to manage your assignments, exams, and extracurricular activities. 2. Network Actively: Build connections with your peers, professors, and industry professionals. Networking can open doors to opportunities and valuable insights. 3. Balance is Key: While academics are important, don’t forget to engage in activities that you’re passionate about. Pursuing hobbies or joining clubs can enrich your college experience. 4. Seek Internships: Practical experience is invaluable. Look for internships or part-time jobs related to your field of study to gain hands-on experience. 5. Stay Curious: Always be open to learning new things, both inside and outside the classroom. Embrace challenges as opportunities to grow. Thank you to everyone who supported me through this journey. A 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐈𝐈𝐌 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐮𝐰𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐢, marking the 22nd institution of its kind in India. It will receive support from IIM Ahmedabad. This new IIM is 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 in Assam and provide career opportunities for locals. With backing from IIM Ahmedabad, its future success seems promising. However, I believe there are certain 𝐧𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 to this. Many new IIMs 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 during internships and final placements. Additionally, the 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐈𝐈𝐌𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐬 to the older ones (18-20L), but the 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 (the average salary at any new IIM is 12-16L). This indicates a lack of trust from companies in the new IIMs, impacting students' job prospects. To tackle these issues, isn't supporting existing IIMs better than opening new ones? Or could we explore joint programs between old and new IIMs? If nothing else, at least the new IIMs should consider reducing fees. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬? 𝐋𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬. #education #mba #newiim #iim
