Fantastic to spend the morning with Deb Johnstone - C-Aware Programme Manager for The Fishermen's Mission yesterday. Deb is driving this incredible project forward which aims to break down barriers preventing the fishing community from accessing equitable cancer treatment and support. The C-Aware programme recruits cancer community champions to act as key messengers to share cancer awareness, dispel myths and feedback vital insight to the project team. 💚 🐟 🚢 Deb and I completed some Process Mapping to pull apart the cancer champion journey including recruitment, induction, retainment and most importantly how to make this a meaningful and rewarding experience for the cancer champion. Lots of scribbles, notes and loose bits of paper that I'll attempt to pull together into a more streamlined process! Does this innovative scheme sound like something you would like to be part of?
