Learning how to #reuse products and resources and minimise waste isn’t simple – it takes #planning, #expertise, and the right #partnerships. That’s where the C3 Circular City Advisory (CCA) programmes step in, offering tailored guidance to EU cities at each stage of their circular journey. Created by The Circular City Centre – C3 at the European Investment Bank (EIB) and funded by the European Commission as a part of the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI), the CCA programmes are designed to support cities in their progress from circular ambitions to projects and tangible results. Whether a city is just beginning to explore circular principles or getting close to financing and implementing specific circular projects, CCA offers the structured support needed. City representatives will collaborate with experts from European Investment Bank (EIB), Circle Economy, Arup, ICLEI Europe, and Ecorys, gaining insights and co-creating solutions tailored to their local context. All services are provided free of charge. Applications are now open! Discover the CCA programmes and apply by 13 December: https://lnkd.in/e5e2wExz ➡️ If you have any questions, join our Q&A session on Wednesday, 4 December, from 11:00 to 12:00 CET. 📁 How can sustainable finance help the built environment play its role in meeting global #climatechange goals? The industry-first alliance between BRE, the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) will continue driving transformational change in the #builtenvironment by bringing four new partners on board. This international alliance is now welcoming Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI), the CRREM - Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor, GRESB and Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC), as it aims to continue unlocking the #sustainable finance needed to put the built environment on a 1.5C trajectory. The expanded alliance will hold an event during London Climate Action Week to mark the publication of their official practical guide, "Financing Transformation: A Guide to Green Building for Green Bonds and Green Loans." The guide shows how verification and certification schemes ensure compliance with multiple sustainable classification frameworks used globally. 🔊 “We are thrilled to join forces with BRE, #GBCA and #USGBC and the rest to deliver this guide for #sustainablefinance. These various rating tools are essential for verifying and implementing measures to address the urgent need to #decarbonise and #retrofit assets in alignment with our 1.5°C commitments,” said Prof. Dr. Sven Bienert of #CRREM. 🗓 Bringing individuals, organisations and communities together to discuss ways to accelerate global #climateaction, the event will feature a series of panel discussions by industry leaders. Taking place Thursday 27th June, 5:00pm to 8.30pm at The View in the Royal College of Surgeons of England, London, find out more here: https://lnkd.in/ejzgTWm3 BREEAM Official #BREEAM #CBI #GreenStar #GRESB #LEED #SGBS

Good to see the world finally catching up... The University of East London has reduced it's carbon emissions by 10% simply by changing its lighting out to LED lighting, and upgrading its building systems. I've been helping clients identify these types of savings for over 20 years, and few years ago I helped one of Australia's largest University's to identify over 30,000 inefficient light fittings throughout their campus. I also helped them to identify over 1,000 compliance issues, and over 40,000 maintenance issues. Need help on your journey to Net Zero? Lets talk! https://buff.ly/3yKSuD5 #netzero #carbonneutral #ESG #greenbuildings #greencities #smartbuilding #lighting #property #assetregister #assetinventory
