Love this for you!" out loud. 😁 Here are a few Knowledge Nuggets: A permanent spinal cord injury made Austin Whitney "a full-time wheelchair user" when he was 18. 🚫 Austin explains that live events back then were not accessible. 🎸 Music festivals were an escape for him, and he had an opportunity to work with a local festival company to create "...an accessibility program from scratch." 👑 10 years later, Austin Whitney is the president of Ten Fifty Entertainment & the founder and chairman of the nonprofit Accessible Festivals & the go-to SME for accessibility at live events! 🤟 Austin notes that live events have "changed radically," and he said that "having a hand in that progress 'has been the joy of my work, of my career.'" 🤯 - ikr? SO COOL! 🏃♂️ The Call to Action: Convene reminds us that "We Can Do Better." And we can- at least I can. 🎯 Austin's challenge was to "walk the user's journey," which reminds me of the User Journey Map from a method I love: Human-Centered Design! 🗺 The User Journey Map is a visual representation of an actual walkthrough of what it is like for a user to accomplish a task or a goal! 📢 Call Heard. A definition I love is “marketing is the process of creating and delivering value-based arguments for your offerings”. Just saying the concert that you are doing is not marketing, it’s an event listing. There is no value-based argument for the offering.
