[Positive Care, our way of caring for our employees] We work with people, not employees; we care of people, not diseases. In the same way that our employees invest in each of their patients and residents on a daily basis, Clariane invests alongside them to make their job easier. This is how Positive Care comes into its own with our team members. Our employer promise, “At Clariane, you have your place to make a difference”, is based on symmetry of attention. Supporting and caring for others also means taking care of our employees and supporting them so that they can: ✔️ make a difference in their day-to-day work ✔️ make a difference in their career paths ✔️ make a difference to those around them 💬 Remi Boyer, Clariane Group’s Chief Human Ressources Director, tells us more about the meaning we give to Positive Care for our employees. Navigating the workplace can be a journey filled with challenges. Just a reminder: ‘HR is NOT your friend.’ They’re there to protect the company, not always you. Remember to cover your bases, document everything, and speak up—even when your voice trembles. Your perspective matters! Build a network of allies you can truly trust, and don’t hesitate to advocate for yourself. Stay resilient and keep pushing forward, even when the path gets tough. Trust in your abilities, know your worth, and never be afraid to stand up for what you believe in. I am Bianca R. Pérez, a Latina woman with tattoos, and I am proud to be a Physician Associate. I challenge traditional norms and bring a fresh perspective to the field of medicine. Together, let us celebrate our differences and work towards a more inclusive and compassionate healthcare system. ✊✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 ———————————— #WorkplaceReality #EmpowerYourself #KnowYourWorth #StandYourGround #PhysicianAssociate #PhysicianAssistant #womeninmalefields #womenofmedicine #explore #womeninmaledominatedfields #WorkplaceCulture #HR #Diversity #NotLikeUs

How we created a Men’s Health Policy at Fertifa—and how you can too! Let’s be honest: writing policies isn’t always the most glamorous task. But when you know it’s going to make a meaningful difference, it can actually be a lot of fun! To create our Men’s Health Policy, we held a focus group with the Fertifa men—a session filled with laughter, honesty, and powerful insights. 💡 Here’s what we learned during the process: → Early involvement is key. The earlier you seek input, the better. For example, the Fertifa men provided invaluable feedback on the number of leave days they felt was fair, based on their own experiences. → Set clear goals and objectives. Everyone’s busy—so make sure your ERG or focus group understands the purpose of their input and how their insights will shape the final policy. → Psychological safety matters. We heard candid and heartfelt stories during our session because we worked to create a judgment-free zone. Honest conversations lead to policies that genuinely drive change. → Inclusion and diversity are non-negotiable. We quickly realized the initial policy draft was written by women—so it was crucial to involve men in the ERG to bring lived experiences to the table. Equally, diversity in race, disabilities, and cultural backgrounds enriches the outcome. → Close the feedback loop. Don’t let the conversation end with one meeting. Keep your group updated on policy iterations, explain what’s been implemented (or not), and the rationale behind those decisions. It keeps engagement high and fosters trust. 🎯 Why ERGs and focus groups are game-changers Integrating Employee Resource Groups into your policy creation process helps uncover blind spots, ensures inclusivity, and bridges the gap between what sounds good in theory and what actually works in practice. This was an incredibly rewarding journey—and we’d love to hear your tips and experiences with policy creation! Let’s keep learning from each other. ️️️We’re thrilled to share our policy with you—free to download here: https://hubs.li/Q02Z27Lq0 #HR #Policies #ReproductiveHealth #MensHealth

Today, Amy Miller, SHRM-SCP, CVP's Senior Manager of Health Research & Technology, will present at the 2024 Detroit Opioid & SUD Summit: Balancing Acts: Navigating Substance Use Disorders, Opioids, and Workplace Wellness. In her session "Building Bridges: Empowering People in Recovery through Employee and Employer Support and Intentional Partnership," Amy will be joined by Keoshia Banks, a Program Manager from the Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI), and Ryan "RJ" James, a Peer Recovery Coach from the Community Recovery Alliance, to discuss strategies for empowering people in recovery through intentional partnerships and workplace support. As Michigan continues to grapple with high rates of substance-related deaths, recovery-friendly workplaces serve as a vital cornerstone for long-term recovery. These workplaces reduce the risk of relapse, expand the labor force, improve well-being, and help develop sustainable, inclusive communities while reducing employee turnover and healthcare costs. The annual summit, organized by the Southeast Michigan Alliance for Addiction-Free Communities, Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN), Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI), and the Michigan Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative (MRFW), explores innovative and effective programs that address the substance use crisis in diverse communities to broaden understanding, reduce stigma, and foster open communication. CVP develops and implements evidence-based solutions that directly impact the lives of those experiencing SUD, advancing health equity and improving community health. Our projects actively drive meaningful change, empowering our partner agencies to achieve lasting results for the populations they serve. #ThoughtLeadership #RecoveryFriendlyWorkplace #SubstanceUseDisorder #WorkplaceWellness #BuildingBridges #CVPHealthResearchAndTechnology
