If you're doing this then please stop it now!!! Two of my last 4 messages on Linkedin from people wanting to connect have said the following: "I'm impressed with the work that you've done at Paragon Talent Solutions" and "I see you're doing some great work in Recruitment" These are Linkedin's AI generated messages and you need to stop using them when contacting recruiters. Do you know how many times we see this?!? It's Loads. Too much actually and it does my head in!! If you decide that you'll use one of the above then back it up with factual information. Maybe you were referred by someone or perhaps you have seen some material on the internet or Linkedin that has caught your eye. Your message could be as simple as "Callum, I see from your profile that you recruit Control Systems Engineers. My skillset is X, Y and Z and i've done A, B, C responsibilities for J, K, L organisations and I'm looking for new opportunities because of 1, 2, 3 reasons." Be different!!

Tip of the Day for job seekers: If you're looking for a job, make sure to add your general location to your LinkedIn profile. Recruiters often have specific requirements for a candidate's location, even for remote roles. By simply adding your state (or city) to your profile, you can make a recruiter's life easier and increase your chances of being considered for a job. Don't miss out on an opportunity by having a generic "United States" location on your profile. Remember, this is not recruiter bias, but client requirements. #tipoftheday

I’ve been working hard to help professionals find and secure remote job opportunities that align perfectly with their skills and preferences. Here's how I do it: 1️⃣ I identify specific job openings using tailored keywords, job titles, locations, and industries that match your goals. 2️⃣ I apply for the roles on your behalf using your resume on platforms like LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, CareerBuilder, Indeed, AngelList, Monster, Joblist, company career pages, and local job sites. 3️⃣ I locate the hiring manager on LinkedIn and connect with them directly. 4️⃣ I email your resume directly to the hiring manager with a personalized message to increase visibility. Let’s take the hassle out of job searching and increase your chances of landing the right role! #JobSearch #RemoteWork #CareerOpportunities #Hiring #JobHunting

🗣 Heeey Hiring managers: is this getting old yet? 👇 . . . . . . Sifting through applications can be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Job posting websites make it easier than ever to apply for jobs - which is a good thing for candidates. However, for your hiring process, this can mean hundreds of irrelevant applications with little to no capacity to look through all of them. But if posting jobs is free or generally inexpensive, why would a company want to hire a recruiting firm? Here are some of the reasons recruiters can add value to your hiring process: 💼 It’s literally their job. Recruiters have the time and resources to sift through the applications to find you that gem. However, in my experience, most placements DO NOT come from inbound applications. Which brings me to… 👀 Sourcing. Recruiters are sourcing experts who can work with you personally to determine your priorities when evaluating candidates and find those people for you so you can focus on interviewing. Doesn’t that sound nice? 😁 Candidate engagement in the role. Recruiters help to streamline the process by sending candidates job descriptions and explaining high-level details about the role, and the company BEFORE the application process. This way, you know that the candidates you’re receiving are actually knowledgeable about, and interested, in the opportunity. If you’re looking to add value and efficiency to your hiring process in the Commercial Construction space, please feel free to reach out to me, and we can set up a call to discuss your needs! 📩 📲 stephanie.holden@gogpac.com / 847.232.4657 #gpac #gogpac #recruiterlife #searchconsultant #commercialconstruction #constructionindustry #michigan #michiganjobs #toptalent #topcompanies #hiring #opentowork #connections #realestate

🚨 Urgent Hiring Alert! 🚨 To set up job alerts on #LinkedIn and stay informed about the latest opportunities, follow these steps: First, navigate to LinkedIn and click on the "Jobs" icon at the top of your homepage. In the search bar, enter the job titles, keywords, or companies you're interested in, and apply any location or other filters that fit your preferences. Once you see the search results, you’ll find a toggle button at the top labeled "Job alert OFF." Switch it to "ON" to activate job alerts for that specific search. LinkedIn will then give you the option to customize how often you want to receive these alerts (daily or weekly) and whether you prefer to get them via email or through LinkedIn notifications. You can manage all your active job alerts by clicking on "Job Alerts" under the "Jobs" tab, where you can modify, add, or delete your alerts at any time. By setting up job alerts, you’ll be notified whenever new job postings that match your search criteria become available, keeping you updated on #opportunities without having to constantly search. #HiringNow #JobOpportunity #JoinOurTeam #ApplyToday #UrgentHiring

Am I the only one? Please help me understand the recruitment market. It just seems we all are wasting a lot of each other's time I'm often contacted via LinkedIn by recruiters because I'm a perfect match for some unknown position and invitation to send a CV and schedule a call. Sometimes there is a description of a company, usually very generic, but no description of the position whatsoever. I understand that a perfect match is a lie, otherwise, they won't need a CV. Everyone understands it's a lie, why are we still doing it? Has anyone ever tried to share a position? Like very basic staff allowing the candidate to understand whether he or she is interested? Very basic position description including the following: - Technical stack and requirements. Hard and soft skills are what employer expects from me. - Compensation and PTO, what I can expect from the employer. - Remote? Any location restrictions on where the work should be performed? - Employment? Self-employment contractor? Or whether the company is open for both? - Team size and responsibilities. Could someone share the sales funnel difference between sharing actual positions and generic spam messages saying that I'm probably contacted by recruiters a lot yet they will again pretend I'm in active search rather than open to opportunities even when my profile clearly says otherwise? Current approaches just don't seem to be an efficient way to find a match.
