What inspired me to work in the affordable housing industry? Can't wait to hear from our panelists Nov 18th in the Windy City! Two pivotal experiences shaped my path: Volunteering for @Junior Achievement each year in Charlotte, NC. I learned firsthand about food insecurity, financial struggle, and unsafe neighborhoods. I’ll never forget asking the children what they were dressing up as for Halloween—one little boy burst into tears because his mom couldn’t afford a costume, and none of the students trick-or-treated in their own neighborhood. (Happy to report my team at PwC bought the entire class costumes.) Poverty Simulation hosted for employees by PwC opened my eyes to the uphill battle faced by those financially behind. Simple things like having direct deposit versus riding a bus to a check-cashing agency, or the dilemma of sick children keeping a parent from work translating to no pay for that day (no paid PTO), reminded me how fragile financial stability can be. These experiences gave me a deep sense of purpose—to help ensure that everyone has access to safe, affordable housing and the opportunity to live in thriving communities. It’s about creating security, opportunity, and dignity for all. #AffordableHousing

Happy President Day! Honoring the Leaders Who Paved the Way! As we celebrate Presidents’ Day, we’re reminded of the visionary leaders who shaped our nation’s infrastructure. Just like these great leaders, our asphalt and concrete work contributes to the foundation of thriving communities. Here’s how we’re making a difference: 1. Quality that lasts: Our asphalt and concrete solutions withstand the test of time, just like the enduring legacy of past presidents. From roads to parking lots, we build with durability in mind. 2. Safety First: Safety was a priority for our presidents, and it’s our top concern too. Our meticulously paved roads ensure smooth travel for all, enhancing safety for pedestrians and drivers alike. 3. Community Builders: Like the presidents who worked tirelessly for the nation, we’re committed to community development. Our projects create accessible spaces, connecting neighborhoods and businesses. 4. Innovation and Progress: Presidents championed progress, and so do we. Whether it’s eco-friendly materials or cutting-edge techniques, we’re always pushing boundaries to improve our craft. Let’s celebrate Presidents Day by appreciating the infrastructure that unites us all. Let’s continue building a stronger, safer future together!

🥳⚒️Happy Feast Day of St. Joseph the Worker. A great day for everyone on LinkedIn to celebrate your hard work. St. Josemaría Escrivá wrote that work is the fulcrum upon which human activity takes on divine meaning, and he highlights three aspects that operate in an organic way to mutually influence one another. The first is the sanctification of work, which is the most basic aspect and the root of the other two. The second is sanctifying oneself in work, which is a result of the first. The third is sanctifying others through work, which is a result of the preceding two aspects. So, celebrate your hard work today. Cheers! 🍻 #f3nation #archstl
