FlyGabon, the new national carrier brand of Gabon, has secured its first two aircraft, both ATR72-600s. The brand will be operated by Afrijet Business Service, in which the Gabonese state, through a new parent company Fly Air Gabon Holding, has acquired a 56% stake. We see the same thing happening here in Seeden. And it’s absolutely not only the airport fees but also the fees for screening passengers and baggage and overflight fees. The industry actors and states (most such actors are state owned or part of state) must do more to keep infrastructure fees down. Exciting news! 🚀 Virgin Australia has placed firm orders for eight Embraer E190-E2 reaffirming its commitmnet in investing in the future of regional aviation in Western Australia, and a significant step forward for Virgin Australia Regional Airlines. The E190-E2 is the world’s most fuel-efficient single-aisle jet, with a 30% reduction in emissions compared to the outgoing Fokker 100 fleet. This investment will not only enhance fleet performance and customer comfort but also create 150 new WA-based jobs over the next three years.
