When choosing roller blind fabrics, it's important to understand the benefits of metallised versus non-metallised dark fabrics. You don't necessarily need high-performance metallised fabrics for effective glare control. Darker colour screen roller blind fabrics naturally offer a lower Visual Light Transmittance (VLT) value. This means they allow less light to pass through, providing better glare control. Opting for non-metallised dark fabrics can be a cost-effective solution while still achieving the desired comfort and functionality in your space. #education #fabrics #sustainability #reduceglare

Hello Everyone 🌹. Stitch ( Loop) Length is a crucial factor affecting the circular knitted fabric Properties. Generally, the loop length correlates with the GSM of the fabric the larger the stitch length the lighter the fabric. But how to measure loop length in knitted fabric?! Method #1 #1 Count the number of wales in the fabric swatch for instance take 100 wales. #2 Take out yarns by unraveling the loop. #3 Measure yarn length. Use measuring tape or scale to measure yarn length. #4 Calculate the loop length. Now divide the average length of the yarn by no. of loops (100 wales = 100 loops) on the fabric sample. Suppose you count x no. of loops (wales) in the swatch and the average length of the stretched yarns is 'Y' cm. Therefore loop length of the sample fabric will be equal to Y/X centimeters. Method #2 You can also calculate the loop length by using the Wesco device Shown in the photo below. #1 Set the Wesco and measure the yarn consumption per 1 revolution. #2 Divide the yarn consumed by the total number of machine needles. #StitchLength #circularknittingbasics

Did you know? Thread form geometry offers superior strength, durability and wear resistance, extending the lifespan and improving the performance of parts. Thread rolling provides greater precision, with surface finishes typically at 32 micro-inches or better—often twice as smooth as those with cut threads. #threadrolling #hreadgeometry #cutthreads #precisionengineering

You have to drill holes in glass? check out this short video from our partner Workshop of Photonics | WOP, a specialist in the field:
One of the most common inquiries we receive at #WOP is asking for #holes in #glass #wafers. The requirements for the shape, size, number of holes, glass type, wafer size, and thickness are of such great variety that every case is unique. Thankfully, we have a great video explaining all our capabilities once you need holes in glass. Here is a summary of the main specs: 💎 Variety of glasses – Corning, Schott, Hoya, AGC 💎 Wafer size – up to 200 mm x 200 mm (8”) 💎 Wafer thickness – from 30 μm to 10 mm 💎 Round, square, and other shapes through holes 💎 Straight hole cross-section | no taper 💎 ≤10 μm chipping > typ. none 💎 Smooth sidewalls, Ra<1 μm 💎 Typical min. hole size 20 μm (round) 💎 ±3 µm positional accuracy 💎 No debris on the back and front surface 💎 No sagging around the holes 💎 Aspect ratio up to 1:100 💎 High throughput and yield 💎 Ability to work with metalized glasses (e.g., Au, Pt, Ni, Cr, Mo) 💎 Minimal or no post-processing is needed However, if you need holes in the glass, just let us know 😎 #femtosecond #laserdrilling #glassdrilling #micromachining #holesinglass
