I’m happy to share with you that I’ve completed the Business Sustainability Management program at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL)! Balancing this program with my commitments was challenging yet rewarding. Many evenings and weekends were dedicated to studying whilst also nurturing #UNIQASustainableBusinessSolutions in its early days. There were moments when it felt overwhelming, but topics like #climateaction, #biodiversity, #environmentalrisks, #supplychain and the #circulareconomy drew me in and kept me going. This experience has been more than just learning; it’s been a turning point, bringing a new perspective to my role as a Business Resilience Advisor, helping businesses navigate sustainability with resilience and innovation. While sustainability can present barriers for corporates, I find it crucial to maintain close partnerships, create circular collaboration models, and build communities of expertise to overcome challenges and transform them into opportunities. This is a long journey, and as such, we must be patient, develop gradually, yet with clear, actionable goals. For the last 8 weeks I have been studying Business Sustainability Management online course at Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), this has been challenging and enriching my academic knowledge and personal organizational skills to make everything happen while working full time with family. The course has been provided uncountable materials to read and then complete the weekly assessment to examine range of topics from my understanding of ESG systems pressures, leadership trend to respond to those pressures, global legislative frameworks, key principles of design circular economy through sustainable production and sustainable consumption behavior, sustainability in communication and marketing, partnership to build sustainability and innovation - rewiring economy to be more innovative (radical or distruptive) to over come barriers to foster the sustainable environment. This course was also directed by our great tutors Christèle Delbé, MSc, Prof. Wayne Visser, Louise Nicholls. Many thanks to all for clear directions and well designed course curriculum and challenging questions through modul discussions. Really valued throughout the course. Key take aways for me were there are lots of data is available now for us to understand and make change in our ways and behaviors to make things happen, and additionally lot a more people than I ever thought trying to find a solutions to sustainability risk and opportunities confronting the our environment and planet now. I just wanted to understand the responsibility of businesses in reducing carbon emissions; how can one begin the journey and who are leading the way: This course -- Business and Climate Change: Towards Net Zero Emissions from Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) -- has been a lot of hard work but equally enriching.

OMG I passed Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) Business and Climate Change: A Journey to Net Zero course!!!!! I have been too scared to check my overall grade because this was a real labour of learning for me. I am not convinced online learning is the best learning environment for me but I persevered. I learned a lot both from the course but also from further reading, the podcasts I have found and new people on Linkedin I follow. This certificate is by no means the end of learning about net zero - it is just the beginning! The reason I did this course was to learn more about the net zero transition and how this intersects with climate justice - we can not just replace a fossil fuel-intensive product, service, or industry with green energy without looking at fair, equal, and equitable solutions for climate justice and equality! This is where I will continue to learn and support work that addresses both climate inequality and economic inequality. #netzero #justtransition #climatecrisis #climateaction #equality #cisl
