What is the connection between PADEL and the "Pompidou Center" in MALAGA ? ... In 10 days, the Padel World Summit begins, the first in Padel's history, and I'll be there with high expectations and ambitions. The world of Art has managed to create its culture, its identities, its universality. Art transcends everything and initially was never meant to be a money maker, just a movement, creativity, innovation, to become a culture for the people, by the people, and the possibility for each one to create value, sometimes infinite. Art inspires everything, is everywhere. We don't even figure out. Of course, it has become an industry, a very lucrative market, sometimes even beyond common measures. I've always thought that Sports and Art have a lot in common. So here's my expectation for this Padel summit in Malaga ... I believe Padel has unlimited potential, like no other racket sports, and I hope this summit will be inspiring and focused on the next 50 years of Padel, or more. Business is business ok!!! But Padel is also an Art. And Art is not (only) a business plan. It's all about people, ideas, passion, freedom, and still about people. SO NO PRESSURE, SLOWLY BUT SURELY. La Gran Estrategia del FC Barcelona: Justo hoy se ha presentado la nueva primera equipación del FC Barcelona. Y no sería más noticia de lo normal si no fuera porque se ha hecho un 18 de julio cuando, los últimos años nos tenían acostumbrados a presentarla en el mes de Junio. 📅 Pero este año es especial, se trata del 125 aniversario del club y para ello han elegido un diseño que nos recuerda muchísimo (y personalmente me encanta) la del centenario 💯 Me gustaría destacar del diseño: - El minimalismo del diseño 🔵 🔴 - El logotipo de Spotify se ve reducido a su isotipo 🎶 - El escudo en el centro 🛡 Pero lo mejor ha sido su campaña que, aunque podemos pensar que van un poco tarde (lo veremos si repercute en ventas, supongo que si) el video de presentación ha sido espectacular 🤩 . Con la presencia del equipo masculino y femenino, con leyendas de los últimos años, imágenes de momentos históricos del club así como dándole mucha importancia a la tradición y cultura catalana, las raíces del club y que últimamente se comenta que se están perdiendo hasta un punto sin retorno. En resumen, el reconocimiento de todos esos #valors que identifican el club. The Padel World Summit was an incredible event. I was impressed by the number and, most importantly, the quality of speakers, guests and visitors with whom I had the privilege of exchanging ideas and insights about the #future of #padel. Thank you, Alex Ponseti and the entire team. First editions are always unpredictable, but you exceeded all expectations! One of the most intriguing sessions for me was the one focused on the 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, along with the opportunity to preview the new reports from Playtomic + Deloitte and the International Padel Federation. I have been studying this for at least 7 years, and through the Consulting section of Padel Travel, I have had the honor of assisting various projects in diverse contexts, from #Italy to #Sweden, #Switzerland to #Bahrain, and recently in #Tanzania. Moreover since 2018, we have welcomed at Padel Travel, trained, and exchanged ideas and information with many entrepreneurs and clubs opening in different countries. As a numbers enthusiast, and considering the many entrepreneurs who have recognized the potential of padel and want to invest, I thought about the 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 to consider if a hypothetical "borderless" investor asked me 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭. My top parameters would be: 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐭𝐨-𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭 𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨: This parameter gives the best idea of the growth potential for padel in that country. #Spain = mature market with 1 court for every 2,800 inhabitants #USA = very young market with 1 court for every 300,000. 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: All else being equal, a larger country has greater appeal. 𝐏𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞: With the rising costs associated with padel, finding a country with high purchasing power can be crucial for premium projects. 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭 𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨: In countries with harsh conditions for many months of the year, outdoor courts are unusable (e.g., Northern Europe and the Middle East). This parameter can be more important than the population-to-court ratio. 𝐍𝐨𝐧-𝐍𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: Bureaucratic timing and ease of access to credit are also vital considerations. I do not consider 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 due to 3 main reasons: - incredibly difficult to estimate. - depends on the number of existing courts. (How can you play if there are no courts?). - we are studying a trend, we are interested in what the scenario will be in 5-10 years, not today. What about you?
