Not sure if you have read Tasha Eurich’s ‘Insight’ a book about self awareness being the meta skill of the 21st century yet this book blew the lid off my understanding of the Johari window and my blind spots. Tasha explains that people determined to start their self awareness journey will seek critical lovers to give them feedback. There are a myriad of reasons why I got into this world of leadership development. These reasons are practical and philosophical. Known and unknown. Some have changed in scope or importance as I’ve learned, grown, and been disillusioned. One that has remained unchanged: it breaks my heart to watch people go through life feeling alone. We are wired for community. And yet our societal and organizational systems push, reinforce, and reward isolation. It shouldn’t be this way. I love getting to help leaders feel less alone by knowing that in me they have someone that truly cares for them and their well being.
