Most of us will experience acne at some point during our lives, but few of us know June is Acne Awareness Month. Acne is an extremely prevalent skin condition affecting millions of people across the globe. While it traditionally affects teens, adult acne is also common and on the rise. The condition is often overlooked, being viewed by some as less serious vs. other dermatological conditions, but can have a profound mental impact on those suffering from it, and even cause permanent scarring. Acne Awareness Month allows us to draw attention to the availability of early intervention for patients, and the need for education for healthcare providers to help dispel myths and better manage this condition. #pharma #mrx #derma #acne

Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia (FFA) is a form of scarring hair loss that typically affects the hairline, causing gradual thinning and recession. Today, my patient came in for PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) injections to help stimulate hair growth in the affected areas. PRP therapy utilizes the body’s own growth factors to nourish hair follicles and encourage natural regrowth. While FFA can be challenging to treat, early intervention with PRP, combined with other therapies, offers a promising approach to slowing down progression and promoting healthier hair. If you're noticing changes in your hairline, don't wait, come in today!
