People often ask us what is the difference between #outstaffing and #outsourcing 🤔 When expanding or augmenting your team, it is important to choose the right model, depending on on your particular needs and preferences. We would like to summarize the key difference between the two main ways to go about it, in hope you will find this illuminating 💡 In very broad terms, Outsourcing involves hiring an external company to handle an entire project or function, while outstaffing means hiring external personnel to work directly under your management as part of your team. More extensively: 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 🌍 Outstaffing: You retain full control over the team's tasks, priorities, and workflows. It's like having an extended in-house team. 🌍 Outsourcing: The external company manages the project and its execution. You focus on the final deliverables. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻-𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺: 🌍 Outstaffing: The outstaffed team works as part of your in-house team, following your company's culture and practices. 🌍 Outsourcing: The outsourced team operates independently, often using their own processes and tools. 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: 🌍 Outstaffing: Easier to scale your team up or down based on project needs, with direct oversight. 🌍 Outsourcing: Scalability is managed by the service provider, giving you less direct control.
