Dear #Manufacturing #Industry, what do you think about optimizing your production process by using a ColiMinder for monitoring the #microbialwaterquality in your cooling water system? A producer of pet food cans does just that: a #ColiMinder is installed at the last cooling water tank on the #pasteurization line. There it continuously monitors the #microbiologicalquality of the #coolingwater. This ensures that the cooling water is of the right quality and can be reused immediately, or to decide whether it needs to be treated before it can be reused. By applying controlled disinfection, direct process costs are saved and production safety is increased by disinfecting the cooling water based on the actual level of contamination (instead of constantly dosing "blindly"), which in turn significantly reduces the likelihood of a product recall. This is how state-of-the-art risk management is implemented in food production. If you want to know more about how the #ColiMinder can increase the safety of your production, feel free to book a consultation appointment here: https://lnkd.in/eBQfQx_A

ENFIT sets the new Standards for effective cleaning of Road Tankers, Silo Trailers, Tank Containers, and IBCs. In recent weeks, we have conducted several ENFIT TRANSPORT HYGIENE RISK ANALYSES (THR-Analysis) in collaboration with some of our new members from the food production industry. The results have left us all shocked. Hardly anyone was aware beforehand that the air ducts of transport containers, used for unloading, are one of the most critical areas of the transport containers. Air ducts are often used to unload the product from the transport container with the tractor unit's compressor or the receiving company's compressed air. Even when the existing pump is used for unloading, we found that the air ducts come into direct contact with the transported products. If the transport containers are filled with liquid food products, or also powder and granulate, the product can enter the air ducts. While air ducts have been cleaned for many years, the cleaning results have rarely been checked. In every instance where we examined the air ducts with a special endoscope after cleaning, we discovered microbiological encrustations, metal shavings, mold, corrosion, or seals barely hanging by a thread. If such contaminated air ducts come into contact with the next product, it can lead to significant contaminations with salmonella, prions, molds, or contamination with plastics (seal material), metal, or corrosion. See our video: https://lnkd.in/e9k8-swc The cleaning process needs to be completely rethought. ENFIT has developed new cleaning procedures that enable effective cleaning, with results that can be verified using appropriate measuring instruments. Protect your company and your products from dangerous contaminations. #food #foodsafety #transport #transporthygiene #hygiene #enfit #enfitstandards #cleaning #cleaningstandards #bulkvision #gid #kosher #halal #fooddefense
