There are multiple ways to access commerical property in the UK. Which ever way you choose...control, liquidity, and diversification are key considerations. These factors tend to be related to each other. For example, if you want control over your investment you would look for direct ownership. However, owning 100% of a property makes it hard to build up a diversified portfolio. A single property also has far less liquidity / price certainty, than shares in a Listed REIT.
