The potential that science holds to develop future technologies in various industries, was one of the main focus areas that was discussed at the Cape Town Science Centre, as part of National Science Week activities. The aim of the programme is to bring science closer to learners and to the general public. It also encourages critical conversations about the value of science among ordinary people, especially the youth. The theme for the 2024 National Science Week was; "Living in a high-tech world: should we be concerned?" https://lnkd.in/dCz5zfxA

Are we really in the era of "Modern science"? Maybe I lack knowledge in this matter...... 😊 but this question was coming to my mind a lot, which has some reasons. We have made a lot of advances in science in the last 100 years, but have we done everything well? we are working in various fields such as health science, environment science, engineering science, technology, etc. and we all know that in every field we are thrilled but why are health and environmental problems increasing at double the speed? Ever since we are in the modern era of science, we have been trying to fix these problems, but still, why are they increasing more and more? Are we doing research just to publish a good research paper? I think along with our research, we should also carefully understand the effects it has on human health and the environment. Although these were my own thoughts. If I am right or wrong then you can give your opinion. Thank you 😊
